Scouting report: Good pursuit, but a slow first step.
Projection: Free agent |
My Grade: N/A. Not having seen much of Jones through college, I can't fairly assess this pick. I love his potential and what he's shown in workouts. He moves well and has excellent speed and quickness. Based on his highlights, he does a nice job of closing in coverage and a great job of getting skinny to get to the quarterback. I look forward to seeing what he has to offer.
General Consensus on the forum: The forum all wanted their "favorite," but after some quick research, it seems as if fans are fairly please with the selection and already feel confident he has what it takes to be a nice long term project. _________________ Top 50 Franchise Cornerstones (2012) - COMPLETED!

The only pick today that I have not even heard of. Looks like a tall, relatively fast LB. Meh. _________________

Never heard of him.
We must be satisfied with our RBs, I was hoping for Jennings. _________________

And the 2009 D-fest is complete.
All in all, a couple of these guys should make a big impact in a couple years, and a couple should boot a couple of our weaker players off the team.
Very well done, Teddy. _________________ "My style is impetuous. My defense is impregnable." Yours truly on the sig...

Okay, forget what I said about "relatively" fast.
This dude is just plain fast.
Still probably won't make the team, but what the hell - you take 7th rounders for their measureables. _________________
