To be honest, I love the guys that Al Davis has been picking. They may not be the sexiest picks according to Kiper/McShay, but who cares. The guys he's been drafting are good character guys that love to play football. I've seen a lot of our prospects as high-motor hard working guys. My only complaint about the draft is that we didn't really do anything that helped our Offensive line out with either depth or a potential starter.

I loved watching Follet, but I just don't think he's what we need.
But I am surprised someone hasn't taken him. Good motor and good slot defender.

Great looking kid.
He and Cable will probably get along great...I wonder if Cable recruited him to Iowa 4-5 years ago?

I guess the theory is that if we score 30, teams won't be able to run. Or pass. We'll see...
I think Mitchell helps the D overall though, if he comes as physical as billed. We've missed a punishing presence for soooooo long. Doesn't matter what position it is, you need a punisher. |

You know what I just realized. We're following the NY Giants draft philosophy--draft tons of pass rushers. I actually think it's a great idea.

I don't really buy that. I think the Mitchell pick may be really good, but I don't think it helps the run defense too much.
I thought Gibril did a good job last year, and our run defense didn't get any better.
We need players to stop runs at the line, not mop up plays that have got by our DL and LBs.
Just my opinion... |

Well, we my get an "F" Draft Grade by almost everybody in the country, but overall I feel very happy with what we have gotten today.

Both. He's a great blocker, with Shonn Green producing tons of yards. He was 1st Team All Big Ten (Myers).
