Haha go find all the Vernon Gholston Lovers to add with the Desean Haters so we know who's opinion to ignore. For the record I was a big Desean supporter and Gholston hater . |

watch desean fade into mediocrity and gholston blossom into one of the league's elite pass rushers over the next few years.
i'm not saying it will happen because i have no idea, but what i am saying is, you just never know, especially after only one year in the league.
some guys just need time to understand how the game is played at this level, and i personally think gholston still has all the tools to be successful in this league.
was he the most disappointing rookie this year? most definitely, but it still doesn't mean his career is over. everyone knew he was more of an athlete than a football player, so imo its logical to believe it might take him a bit longer than most to find his stride in the nfl.
i think what would have made your argument a little stronger is if you narrowed it down to say, we should ignore the opinions of those who thought gholston would make an immediate impact on whatever team he went to, while we should also ignore the opinions of those who thought desean was not big enough to make plays in the nfl.
i'll admit i didn't think desean could do it, glad to see the local boy prove me wrong. so i guess if i misjudge one specific talent, all my opinions should no longer be valid on anyone else, that's some awesome logic there bud. _________________

Kyle Moore should be a 6th, maybe late 5th round pick.
Victor Butler should be a 7th.
And Patrick Turner should go undrafted. |
kyle moore drafted 4th round
Victor Butler drafted 4th round
Patrick Tuner drafted 3rd round.
i like the idea of this thread, i'll keep digging. _________________

The pre-season prediction threads are always epically funny. _________________

I still stand by those statements by the way. That's where I thought they should go. Obviously real GM's and scouts thought differently. All it takes is one team to love a player (Raiders/Mike Mitchell). |

Cushing and Matthews are on roids... NO WAY!?
I guess they can forget about the 1st rd now. |
i get the sense that he was being facetious, but the way he worded it made me laugh pretty hard.

Yea i said that and got completely dogged I should put all those people on blast who swore up and down that I was crazy and that Crabs was gonna be a Raider.
Like my boy sizzla sings "you cant keep a good man down, all these people smile when they want me to frown, they surprised that I stood my ground, THEY WILL NEVA EVA TAKE MY CROWN"

I just want to point out that Patrick Turner was picked by the Tuna 2 spots after Ramses Barden....in the 3rd.
| pfassad wrote: | | The only reason I even got sucked into this thread is because OG said that Greg Carr would be better in the 7th. I came in to say that I would be much more interested in Turner. And I also have Turner listed as my #7 WR on my wish list..... |

1) IQ
2) Charisma
3) Spokesman type qualities. (Some guy on SBNation wrote an article that off the field, Barden would be like Nnamdi part 2)
4) Big Catcher's mitt paws
5) 6'6", but solidly built, not at all lanky. (Which I also like about Turner)
6) A small school chip on his shoulder. |

taking Massaquoi in the 2nd or 3rd would be an epic failure.
I'd take him in the 7th, maybe, but, no sooner. |
2nd Rounder to the Bears....
I'm also not above throwing OG under the bus.....Much Love.

I still think the taking Massaquoi that early will prove to be a mistake even with Cutler throwing him the ball. _________________
