True, what was I thinking? Rolling Eyes Laughing

It's always so lovely to watch Tommy Maddox overthrow receivers on a crucial third down play.

Do people realize that in his last two games in Baltimore, 2004 and now 2005, he has gone a combined 11 of 31 (35.4%) for 152 yards, 0 TDs?

You have to just love that 35% completion percentage, it's so lovely.

Put Antwaan in, please!

If you include passes to opponents defensive backs, his completion percentage is around 60%!

Actually, believe it or not, he hasn't thrown an interception against the Ravens in either of those two contests.

So basically, he's just really bad in that case.

At least hit someone on the other team if you're not getting the ball to your own team.

I want to see how long Bill Cowher thinks Maddox can get the job done.

I'm going with midway through the 4th quarter.

This is Bil Cowher you're talking about. He won't make a change unless Maddox starts giving his best Jim Miller impression (if he hasn't started already).

He almost had that moment if it weren't for a lucky offsides call.

He looks good on five yard passes, but his last significant five yard pass is still being run into the endzone by Rashean Mathis.

I think I'll nominate that as post of the month! I hope they use this timeout wisely ie CHANGE THE QB!

Come on now, that would be way too easy. You know that.

I guess people are seeing how good Ben Roethlisberger makes this offense when he's on the field. You don't see 11 in the box with him in there. You actually see more of the eight in the box type of stuff, but then Ben relaxes that defense to more around six in the box because he begins to sling the football all over the field.

Another Bill Cowher coached game where he thinks his defense, and not his offense, is going to win it for him.

And, do my eyes deceive me? Did I just see the Steelers get a critical third down stop? Shocked

I think I'm hallucinating too. Can you explain why on 4th and 1 the ball is put in the hands of an inept QB who takes a sack when the Bus is a safer option?

If I could explain that, I might be coaching this team right now.

But seriously, I don't know. I guess he expected Baltimore to use a run-blitz. He guessed wrong. Oh well.

And, thank the Lord, Antwaan Randle El is in there now.

Look at that, he's in there, and we get a first down on one play.

And then, Tommy Maddox comes back in. Keep Antwaan in there.

Brilliant! The Steelers can't challenge the fumble because Maddox burned all the timeouts. Put anybody, even Trai Essex, at QB now.

Yeah, he's just wonderful. He burns all three timeouts in one quarter, he overthrows receivers, he underthrows easy targets, and he sucks.

Pick either one and you'll have the answer as to why the Steelers aren't winning this football game.

I don't care what anyone says about this game and how the Steelers were exposed.

There is one stat that disproves that.

That stat: 14. What does that mean? The total yards that the Baltimore offense has from their four second half drives.

14 yds is enough when Maddox is QBing the other team. He couldn't beat an egg.

And, all these false-start penalties are not helping our offense either.

Go to Heath Miller here, please!

EDIT: Willie Parker! Tommy Maddox doesn't deserve that touchdown pass on his stat-sheet. That was all Willie and the blockers.

Ever heard the phrase there are lies, damn lies and statistics? Well Maddox now has a passer rating of 83.1 Shocked .

I'm going to try not criticise him anymore until the game is over. I hope he drives the Steelers down the field on the next possession for the win. It's just that I don't expect it.

I know exactly what you mean.

At least we're tied right now.

I'll take a win, but I would rather be in the game at this point.
