The Steelers decided to re-sign back-up QB Charlie Batch after last year's back-up QB Byron Leftwich signed with the Buccaneers.

Leftwich signed a 2-year, $7.5 million contract with Tampa.

Batch's contract is a 1-year, $895,000 contract.

Batch a former second round pick by the Lions in 1998, played 22 games for the Steelers and threw for 8 TD's and 4 INT's.

Good resigning. I thought Batch played awesome as a backup in Pittsburgh.
