Matt Cassel has astonishingly made his way onto the elite list of nine athletes despite being traded to the Kansas City Chiefs after leading the Patriots to an 11-5 season last year and being the butt of oh-so-many jokes in the process.

*EDIT* Matt Cassel taken off list. List now down to 3.

This time around it's Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals; Troy Polamalu, safety for the reigning Super Bowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers; and Peyton "poster boy" Manning, quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts.

Usually the cover boy of Madden has something to do with a new feature in the game. I wonder what that feature would be with Cassell. Laughing

question:

Lets say he gets the cover. Would he be on the cover in a Chiefs jersey or a Patriots jersey?

Well, EA updated Madden 09 when Favre went to N.Y so I could only assume that they would put him in a KC uniform?

Wow..... truly amazing how a one hit wonder can gain instant fame. The guy played in the fool proof Patriot system that feature the #1 WR in the game, the #1 slot WR in the game coached by a HF coach. There will be no need for a Madden curse in this case as Cassel will be without his crutches this season.

LOL, talk about one of the least deserving players to have their face on the cover of a highly popular video game... but I guess not too many players want to be on it due to the "Madden curse".
