Hopefully they gave him more than the minimum crap that the Steelers were offering.

Great signing by TB. Leftwich should get a chance to start in 2009

Nice signing by the Bucs, I expect him to start this season. I still think they will take Josh Freeman if he is still on the board.

Meh, I'm skeptical with this move. Morris has talked about bringing four QB(s) to training camp and Leftwich is the fourth guy on the roster. Meaning unless they cut Griese, come draft day they'll be looking to improve the team at DE, DT, and maybe WR.

I hope Morris takes Harvin at #19. Throw him in there with Bryant, Winslow, Graham being a good receiving back himself. Lead by a mammoth offensive line the offense won't be hard to watch for once.

Good signing by Tampa. I've always like Byron Leftwich and I still feel that he's capable of being a solid starter in this league.

I definitely don't see Tampa drafting a quarterback this year. If Byron and the Bucs suck this season, they should see what they've got in Josh Johnson. If he doesn't show anything, then go for a quarterback in 2010.

I disagree. I like the signing but they are going to take a shot on a young qb somewhere in the draft.

I think they will still take Josh Freeman in the draft.

Good signing for the Bucs. Leftwich has something to prove and that will be to Tampa's benefit.

What's Leftwich's OVR in Madden 09? I bet its higher than Luke McCown's.

The thing is he doesnt fit the WCO that they are going to run. I'm not sure if I draft Freeman now, but where else could they go? O-line? If Jackson is really going to move to WLB could Jenkins be the pick? Maybe Percy Harvin. They have alot of ways they can go now.

Good signing. He's a much better option than Luke McCown IMO, and will give them a stop-gap option at QB until someone like Josh Johnson or a 2009 draft pick can develop and take over the starting spot.

Also, as a massive Dennis Dixon fan, this move is fantastic. One less QB to compete with for playing time.

Him and Garrard are the same. Now, TB has a QB on the level of the Jags. lol

I don't think that the Bucs draft Freeman.

It seems evident that Griese will be the one released and it will be between McCown and Leftwich to start this year with Johnson getting another year to develop and make a push to win the position.

I think that Tampa looks to DT, WR, or RB with their first rounder.
