| QB'S............................................................................................................Jeff Garcia, Kurt Warner, or Craig Nall who could be a Jake Delhomme clone due to the numbers he put up in limited time....next would Be...........RB'S.........I like Najeh Davenport as a change of pace back as well as Travis Minor and the homeboy Chester Taylot because you can see Artose is limited and Bryson fits a need better as 3rd down back as well as backup full and special teamer....................the position of importance...WR'S.........Lee Mays, James Trash, or Jason McAddley are bigger receivers who can go across the middle and be gunners on special teams, because speed kills. And resign Reggie Swinton due to him coming very affordable.......A need postion of immense importants to a West Coast offense................TE'S...........David Martin from Green Bay has speed and hands, I love the workmanlike qualities of Jermaine Wiggins and Marcellus Rivers from the NYG's....................................OF's............David Dixon, Ben Hamilton, Floyd Womack are al upgrades from Loverne...2ndly If McDougle ask to much go after Kareem Mckenzie from the NYJets he can play LT and let Backus go over to the RT............................DL's...which I fell is not a big problem but, I would resign Marcus Bell who may plays and look for someone to replace Kalimba as a rush specialist.Derrick Burgess,Bryce Fisher, and R-Kal Truluck are suitable replacements and big Ma'ake Kemoeatu to replace Prichett who is over the hill........................................................LB's.....just resign Earl and Don'te and we would be formidable with a healthy Boss Bailey....................................DB's .....................should get a major upgrade due to miss tackles and blown assignments and useless penalties................1st Fernando must go. If Antrelle Rolle is there at 10 or you trade down Marlin Jackson would be the answer. Brock should retire due to him not having it anymore to make turn overs and his need to shy away from contact and missed tackles...........Replacements via draft are Shazor, T. Davis, J. Brimmer, or Francisco from Byu in the later rounds. Resign Bracey because he a good teammate I heard............................Free Agents, Safety Darius, Lamont Thompson, or putting Dale Carter there from coner....CB's Charles Woodson, Ken Lucas, Joseph Jefferson or Brian Williams from the Vikes.............................................. |

Okay....you wanna release Bryant and keep a Walker?
Where should Bryant go? Can you tell me how much his cap hit would be? I figure it will be around 4-5 million dollars this season and maybe that amount next year if we release him June 1st.
Those are 2 bad ideas. |

things I don't like. By cutting Bryant, you accelerate his cap number. If you did that to both him and marion, you would not be able to resign anyone off the free agent market. Let along you'd have difficulties resigning Holmes, Backus, Raiola
QBs, well you need 2 more. What's the deal with Kurt Anes? he have what it takes to be a 3rd stringer? I don't like the idea of drafting another qb, having 3 very young qbs isn't what you want when rebuilding. If anything, what about Kitna.
On the O-Line, is butler ready to take over for McDougal? Can they bring back Backus and Raiola, I think the best way to fill the OG spot is through the draft with a guy like Baas from UoM. Of the WR you mentioned, none appeal to me. I like a guy like wayne cherbet or even Troy Edwards, could be that guy who would fill the "ricky Phroel" niche.
You're right though about the LB, and Safety position for the most part. I have to argue a little against Bailey. He's had a full year away from playing and wasn't exactly the best tackler before he was hurt, so how much does this knee injury really set him back? Holmes I like cause you see exactly what you get every week. Davis and Lehman made strides in only their 2nd and rookie years respectively. Lewis and Curry could become valuable backups within this group.
Safeties on this team are lacking. The problem is, they're stuck with marion, he's what, 34 years old, making tons, he won't retire, he is making too much to retire. I just don't know if they can improve this area via Free agency due to how much they invested into marion. I think they will go after a depth guy and hope he can at least lessen Marion's workload and thus make him more effective. Holt is still a year or two away so you might see him more, but he's going to make mistakes.
The way I see it, I don't see detroit going overly free agent crazy this offseason. I think they will try to add some depth guys and try to fill the big holes through the draft by trading down the 10th and adding more picks. |

| Curt was going to play Arena with the Gand Rapids Rampage, but the knee injury he suffered in his junior year of college wont allow him |

How much money do you think the lions have. i think that a few positions can be improved, but not all of them in one offseason _________________ BRAYLON Fn' EDWARDS=Best Wide Reciever in draft |

I would like to see us go after Donvan Darious and resign McDougle. I am not sure Butler or Rogers is ready for starting status and it could be riskey. The o-line is the key to the entire offense so I would lie to keep it intact with McDougle and add a stud to with the rest of last years bunch. Marion will be out of a starting job hopefully and Walker is going to get cut. We must get some speed at safety. Davis would be a good addition I just think its a little high to take him at 10. Shazor in the 2nd round is a possibilty though some say he may be moved to olb in the pros. Antrelle Rolle at #10 wold be great but I dont think he will last. He easily cold make the transition to safty if he was willing to do so! I like the idea of getting Baas too as someone mentioned, but I dont he will last to pick #42. There are numerous scernarios but the bottom line is we must get a bonified safety and address the o-line. If we dont getBarron at #10 or Elton Brown in a trade down or Baas in the 2nd round then I would rather get a veteran o-lineman in free agency. There are quite a few and Shelton of the Cards is rumored to be on the block too! _________________ Lions to the Superbowl before I die!!!! |
