Many have bashed Will Allen about being a waste of draft picks but after looking at his stats this year I am not disapointed. He may not have very good hands but he has improved. He was 11th of all DB's in Solo Tackles, and 9th in Passes Deflected. This year he had 40 more tackles than last year and hopefully a repeat next season with more INT's.
While Will Peterson didn't have as many tackles, he did have 2 INT's. Along with 14 passes deflected which ties him for the 10th most. Which is more than players like Champ Bailey and Shawn Springs.
Maybe next year they will have solid seasons and become one of the best duos in the league just like everybody expected them to be when they came out of college. _________________

| i agree with you that will allen played much better than people give him credit for this year, but i woouldn't judge that based on the number of tackles he made... thats a result of a poor linebacking core..... i think the major knock on their secondary is that they simply dont produce enough turnovers/big plays.... i wouldn't mind seeing a replacment at CB and SS this year. If I had to choose, the only guys i really like back there are gibril wilson and will peterson.... i think allen would be a great nickleback... |
