TE in high school is litlte more than an extra tackle but you will be working in space more, so knowing your assignment and effort is more important than playing an OT or OG position. If you can run a little and have decent hands then its a plus.

Defense is a whole different animal:

Easy things to adjust too: assignment, allignment, stance
Difficult things to adjust to: snap reaction, ground to pads target - (using your hands properly too), reads, and separation from the blocker (again learn to sue your hands).
Pursuit and tackling are more 'effort' though proper tackling technique is important.

We have Mods for a reason yo.

On topic, I would work on hands. Both in the catching department and also for blocking/shedding. Also, footwork is really important.

DE-hands are key, and make sure you get off the snap quickly, otherwise the tackles will eat u up.

TE-depends mostly on the offense.

SPREAD: Route-running & footwork (and hands obviously). Work on starting in motion then breaking into your route at the snap of the ball.
(It'll look funny to the neighbors in your backyard, but It'll pay off during the season).

POWER: Blocking & Short routes. I guess jump-balls in the red-zone.

Yes, please ask non-Packer questions in the TAPT thread.
