46.01, all-world in the 400m at 17, 2nd 2x at nationals in HS, only lost to Ted Ginn's SMR team although my coach had a faster split than him.
Know nothing about starting in blocks though. _________________ clowney.

lmao.
My indoor season ends on Friday. I've been underachieving big time. Ran a 16:55 5K last weekend, looking to drop a ton of time on Friday. _________________

Did alright in my first meet. Won the 400 in 51.2 (tied PR), splits of 24 and 27, and ran 23.6 in the 200, got a god awful start out of the blocks. Looking to go 50.X and 22.X in the upcoming meet this weekend. _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

As of this exact moment, I am unofficially the 11th fastest senior in the nation over 400M. Although the season just started, its something to be proud of _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

Too bad I haven't run it yet.
Still pretty cool though, I've had a US#1 in a 4xmile once which was cool--- and a US#8 in the DMR (this one was actually semi-legit since it wasn't the first meet of the season like the 4xmile).
I still have more indoor meets though... I've been running horrible (very very bad no joke) so I've taken off this past week and am going to go to weight room a lot next week and start 400m training.
Can't to shred up the 400m for Penn Relays, we have an insane team this year. Me and my anchor should be 48 and 47 respectively while the other legs are both 50/51. We're hoping to get 3:14.7, our school record-- but that seems pretty hard-- we'll aim for sub 3:17 instead. _________________ clowney.

Yeah, I ran the 400 off straight distance (800/1600M) training so now we're gonna hit speed endurance hard all this week to try and break the school record (48.2) next weekend. _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

GL, my school records (open) are unattainable. The 400m is 46.3 and the 800m is 1:48 (state record). _________________ clowney.

That sounds do-able, if your 200 is in 21.X range with enough speed endurance and strength work you could hit it. _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

My 200m is not 21.x though, it's 22.x on a relay. I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, but I hope you are because even the best runner in the nation right now (Watkins) couldn't break either of those. _________________ clowney.

Well I thought you could, I guess running 46 is gonna be harder than I thought _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

haha thanks for your vote of confidence, but once get down to the 49-48 range, it's really hard to take off seconds. If i run 46 though, you'll be the first to know.

Well I was never good in the weightroom, maxing out at 225 in squat and snatching 115x5 weighing 150 pounds. I guess trying to improve my numbers now would be useless since the seasons already started, now I mainly do explosive workouts in the weight room and a lot of strength workouts on the track. _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

Had a terrible weekend track-wise. Went 51.2 in the open 4 (placed 12th) and 24.01 in the 200, failed to make both finals. Later on in the 4x4, I split a 48 off first leg, but my team still managed to lose my lead and ran 3 37 _________________ Adopt a Dolphin: Vernon Carey

| 48.2 early season time trial before the season started (teammate ran 48.0, other two were 51.6 and 53.9). The last kid was really hungover to be honest. I'm figuring in a month from now that'll be 47.2 at least.... with a relay split I'm hoping to get 46.x at Penn, wish me luck. |
