No im actually pretty sure you can bid cash for a player. Its just that anytime someone wants to bid a pick on him no matter how big the cash offer the pick always wins.
I got that from somewhere, and it wouldn't make sense to not be able to bid cash on a player.

That was how it was run LAST year and was discussed in the discussion thread. The post at the start of this thread never mentions cash bids, and also mentions all UDFA contracts at 275k. That I assume means no cash bids or if there is the minimum would be 275k.
