Quote:
Pro Football Talk - Quarterback Gus Frerotte is under contract with the Vikings for the 2009 season, but doesn't seem interested in returning as a reserve.

"A lot of people say, 'Why wouldn't you want to go back there and, if you're not starting, just stand there and watch?' but it's not about that for me," Frerotte told Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. "I played a lot with those guys, so I can still play ...

I don't know what to make of this. You guys think the Vikes should let him and Jackson battle it out in training camp and pre-season?

Ha, I wouldnt doubt he gets cut in the next week or two. He was awful for us all year minus one or two games, and we still managed to win 8 games with him.

He must of hit his head again, because what Frerotte is saying, is the opposite of what is gonna happen.

Wow, I saw him play every game he played in St. Louis. GOD AWFUL HE IS!

I'm surprised he somehow won games for the Vikes. But from what I'm hearing he was still awful...

I've never been a supporter of Tarvaris Jackson, but I fail to see how he was ever really a worse option than Frerotte.

Jackson's son was having serious health issues at the beginning of the season, enough so that Tarvaris II needed a pacemaker at 15 months old.

Ferotte must be really stupid or to confident for his own good. He should have never started last year at all. I wonder what makes him think he is going to start.

Laughing Laughing Laughing Laughing But in all seriousness Frerotte needs to get out of the league, i love his heart and his desire to win, but he is just horrible. He makes very poor decisions, has bad accuracy, and is about as mobile as a damn statue. Its time for him to go.
