Wow, that is a nice thing of him to do, and he really cares about the league. I mean the Commissioner took a paycut, i have never heard of that before, and he was supposed to get a raise next year as well.

I'm really not surprised. Everything he has done has been in the best interest of the league

He better take a paycut after getting secret bonuses from fining players every week.

Totally agree. I was actually surprised to see how much he gets paid. I didn't think Commissioners get paid more than 7-8 million a year, but I believe the report said Goodell was supposed to get over 11 million, Selig gets like 18 million, and Stern gets around 10 million. Poor Gary Bettman, only 5 million for him. Laughing

Agreed. Goodell is in the process of destroying the NFL. I'm glad that he did something classy for the NFL, but I mean... what's an extra mil here or there for the commissioner of the NFL? It's not like some guy getting paid 120,000 just dropped to 40,000 or anything. It just means Goodell won't get a gold-lined shark tank for his kitchen.

Just a PR move.

He's taking a pay check from 11 million to 8 million. Wow, big deal.

Not a penny, all that money goes to charity. Good thing people are allowed to rip others apart without really finding out all the facts.

This was done in the wake of many NFL employees losing their jobs. He is still going to make $11 million next year.
