I'm glad they didn't get Dan Quinn, that's for sure. We have played Bowles before when he was in Miami.

Sounds like Bowles is going after Chan Gailey as OC. I would hate to play his offense twice a year if he's still got it, but last I heard he was done coaching and happily retired? I dunno, guess we will find out shortly.

While he was our HC, he got the best out of the limited talent we had. Fitz actually looked decent under him, and he is the only one to have used CJ Spiller correctly to this point. Actually wouldn't shock me if CJ makes his way to the Jets here soon. I think it was 2011 when he really had our offense rolling. In 2012 we took a step back and the defense regressed, which led to his firing. He wasn't a good head coach but he was a good offensive mind.

Gainey is a great hire, actually both hires are great. If they get spiller im gonna be scared of the jets offense. Spiller better stay in buffalo cause hes a talented damn football player.

Gailey was decent he relied heavily on the rbs which he can do with jets. He was able to utilize fitzpatrick but he has no emotion he won't fight for players he is basically the opposite of Rex. He was innovative at the time but it might not work this time around as he has been out of the game for 2 seasons and in his late 60s. He will be a decent hire for you guys once he signs but don't expect him to be amazing the 1st season especially with gene as your qb.

His offensive philosophies will mask a lot of problems. He can mask a OLine problem and a QB problem. But the thing is, it only works for about the first 5-7 weeks of the season. Once defenses figure out what he is doing to mask the problems his offense usually goes stagnant and becomes really hard to move the ball. But he will get the most out of limited potential at the beginning of the year but once defenses figure him out it is all up to the players to take that next step and not need to be masked by Gaileys system anymore.

First thing I thought of when I saw the rumour of Gailey was god I hope he doesn't take Spiller. Spiller has been pretty awful for us outside of when Gailey was here.

Reading Spiller's tweets however, i get the feeling he wants to play for Rex.

Nobody wants to come here. That's why we were able to land Marrone, right?

That awkward moment a team "lands" Marrone as their big coaching move.

I agree. I'm not sure when the deadline for a player is to exercise his player option(or if it already passed) but that would probably be his best bet at this point. Because I don't think he'll like the contract we'd give him after last year.

Bowles is a good hire. I'm not sure about Gailey, where has he been the last few years?

Isn't that crazy? A player WANTS to stay here?

I love Rex already.
