Philadelphia Eagles Off-Season Prediction Contest - 2009
Howdy folks, and welcome to the battle for Eagles’ front office knowledge supremacy! In this contest, everyone will make the decisions based on what they believe the Eagles’ front office will attempt and accomplish. Below are scenarios that everyone will choose what they predict will happen. Afterwards, the poster who correctly chooses the most scenarios wins a special prize! Entries should be PMed to me, Steegles46. The deadline is 17 February. No more entries will be accepted after that day. Good luck to all!
NOTE: Once again, my wife will take part in this contest. In 2007, she tied for second-to-last place. In 2008, she finished dead last. Therefore, as an extra risk, if anyone loses to her this year they will have to wear another "special" sig!
Part I – Roster Cuts
For the following players, choose either yes (they will be cut) or no (they will not be cut). Player retirements count as a no answer.
1. Lorenzo Booker (RB) -
2. Reggie Brown (WR) -
3. King Dunlap (OT) -
4. Kyle Eckel (FB) -
5. A.J. Feeley (QB) -
6. Winston Justice (OT) -
7. Greg Lewis (WR) -

Part II – Eagles Free Agents
For the following players choose one of the three responses:
(a) The Eagles will attempt to re-sign, and succeed.
(b) The Eagles will attempt to re-sign, and fail.
(c) The Eagles will not attempt to re-sign.
NOTE: Players re-signed are not required to make the squad to count as a re-signee.
1. Hank Baskett (WR) -
2. Correll Buckhalter (RB) -
3. Nick Cole (OL) -
4. Sean Considine (S) -
5. Tank Daniels (LB) -
6. Brian Dawkins (FS) -
7. Joselio Hanson (CB) -

Part III – Free Agent Market
For the following statements, answer either yes or no. In saying free agents, the questions refer to players who are not undrafted free agents (UDFAs) and were not on the Eagles’ roster this past season. They do not have to make the team to count as a signee. Players signed prior to the date the entry is received do not count.
1. The Eagles will sign a free agent running back. -
2. The Eagles will sign a free agent defensive lineman. -
3. The Eagles will sign a free agent offensive lineman. -
4. The Eagles will sign a free agent safety. -
5. The Eagles will sign a free agent wide receiver. -
6. The Eagles will sign a free agent to a contract four years or longer. -
7. The Eagles will sign a free agent to a contract worth $5 million per year or more (including signing bonus). -
8. The Eagles will sign at least one free agent player on defense. -
9. The Eagles will sign at least one free agent player on offense. -
Part IV – The Draft
For the following statements, answer either yes or no.
1. The Eagles will make three draft day trades or more. -
2. The Eagles will make at least one trade to give them at least one extra pick in next year’s draft. -
3. The Eagles will trade out of their spot (either up or down) in the first round on draft day. -
4. The Eagles will trade out of Carolina's spot (either up or down) in the first round on draft day. -
5. The Eagles will trade out of their spot (either up or down) in the second round on draft day. -
6. The Eagles will draft a lineman in the first round. -
7. The Eagles will draft a safety in the first round. -
8. The Eagles will draft a wide receiver in the first round. -
9. The Eagles will draft a defensive player in the first round. -
10. The Eagles will draft at least one defensive back (corner or safety) during the first day. -
11. The Eagles will draft at least one offensive back (running, full, etc.) during the first day. -
12. The Eagles will trade away a player on their roster during the draft. -
(Tie Breaker: How many draft picks will make the 53-man roster on opening day?) -

Heh, oops.
In making the cuts section, I go down the roster and pick out "juicy" candidates; I momentarily forgot that he was a free agent. Great catch! I'll slide a different name in.
Also, because I forgot to reserve a second post, I'm going to use my mod-ly powers for evil and delete your post (  ). Don't worry, I've quoted it for posterity.

I just got off the phone with the wife (she's bringing me lunch, the sweetheart), and the smack talk has already started. She said that she's going to do better this year (though I don't know how, seeing as how she still has no football knowledge). I reminded her of how she was the only one to correctly predict the re-signing of Kimo Von Oelhoffen, and she replied, "That's right! Suck on that bitches!"
If she were a forum member, she would have gotten a warning for that, but since she isn't, this just provides good fodder for the competition. So I ask you guys, after reading her taunt, who wants to sign up and beat my wife? ( )
