With our main staff in place, we need to get work on our off-season tasks. Let's get the Patriots back to their normal Super bowl contention! Please no arguing in here, I don't want to be forced into breaking anything up.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Regardless of your position, everybody has an equal say on everything; your position is just your area of focus. For example, an offensive scout helps/contributes on all defensive decisions, but his scouting reports will be focused specifically on the offensive side of the ball. Another example; the capologist works with the numbers/cap as his area of focus, but he helps on all personnel decisions. Thus, regardless of position, you'll have an equal say in every transaction and team decision.

A few questions we should keep in mind..
Arrow What should we do with Matt Cassel?
Arrow Should we try to shop one of the big three 2010 Free Agents?[Seymour, Wilfork, Mankings]

awesome, i am stoked for this, thanks greatly for the assistant HC position.

First thing we should come to terms with is that i think it will be very hard to be active in trades or FA unless we do lose one of the big 3.

What would you think of Mankins being the one we shop around? A lot of teams with need at Guard/Tackle.

Few thoughts
-I think we should franchise Cassel, it's the best thing to do.
-We need to keep James Sanders, and/or Tank Williams/Rodney Harrison. Ventrone is a STARTER if we don't do this.
-Can someone help me with the overall, numbers wise of all our first four round draft picks?

We should, but of course only to trade him.

Absolutely keep Sanders... Williams doesn't really matter the way i see it, we need to add a safety in the draft for depth even with Williams.

23 in the first, 15 and 26 in the second and 25 in the third.

Overall its, 23, 47, 58 and 89.

Edit:
Oh you mean 4 rounds not first 4 picks, in the 4th round it will be the 24 pick which is 120.

We definitely need to trade Cassel, that's for sure.

Keep James Sander IMO.

What are your thoughts on the Gaffney situation? I kind of want to look for a WR in FA or via the draft.

Guys, let's talk about needs. We are pretty weak at ILB. We have Guyton, and Mayo. That's it.

We also need help at CB, S, WR, OLB, OT, and possibly tight end.

My Top 5 3-4 ILB's to look out for in the draft:

1. Rey Maualuga, USC
2. Darry Beckwith, LSU
3. Brian Cushing, USC ( moved inside, one of the best coverage linebackers in the draft)
4. Jasper Brinkley, South Carolina
5. James Laurinaitis, Ohio. Didn't attend the senior bowl so his stock is bound to be slipping to early second.

Top 5 3-4 OLB's:

1. Clint Sintim
2. Larry English
3. Aaron Maybin
4. After a great performance this week, Marcus Freeman's stock is rising. A guy to look at late second to early third.
5. Clay Mathews.
