Please Ol' Minny Please
Spare Us the Pain Ol' Minny
Carry us to the calm seas of Lombardi
For even my young bones grow weary of the Pian
So it be true
Imagine the pain of those with old bones Ol' Minny
Ease the Pain of a Young Wisconsin Born Man Ol' Minny
Bring us to Lombardi
Just Once Ol' Minny
I want to stick there beloved trophy in there face
Pull it Away as they grab
Loathe and Soak in thier Pain
Please Ol' Minny make my wishes
And if not for me
For those old who grown old of pillaging
End the heartache Ol' Minny
Charge on to Lombardi
Please Ol' Minny Please

To the tune of Stuck In The Middle With You:

Well I'm sittin' outside on my back deck
Told my job they'd have to take a rain check
The spring weather is finally here
But I'm cleansing and can't drink any beer
Waitin' for four o'clock
For free agency to start
Here I am, stuck on the forum again

Well I'm wigg-uhlin' my toes in the breeze
The mercury's at about seventy degrees
I got an amazing case of epic bedhead
And I'm prepared for the madness ahead
Waitin' for four o'clock
For free agency to start
Here I am, stuck on the forum again

Well we ended up with nuthin'
'cause eleven was a misplayed hand
Now we're lookin' to build somethin'
So we can finish hoistin'
Lombardiiii-iii-iii-iii-iii
Lombardiiii-iii-iii-iii-iii

The weather today is simply divine
Should we go CB or offensive line?
I ask a goldfinch what he thinks
He just cocks his head and starts to drink
Waitin' for four o'clock
For free agency to start
Here I am, stuck on the forum again

Well we ended up with nuthin'
'cause eleven was a misplayed hand
Now we're lookin' to build somethin'
So we can finish hoistin'
Lombardiiii-iii-iii-iii-iii
Lombardiiii-iii-iii-iii-iii

Well I'm sittin' outside on the deck
Told my job I'd have to take a rain check
The spring weather is finally here
But I'm cleansing and can't drink any beer

A new breeze sweeps over Minnesota
Warming as new blood flows in Purple
Fear Not.
The Schwartz is with us
As is Sir John Carlson
Keeping Ponder Upright
Because management dawns for defender collisons again
While Percy dashes to the endzone
we all long for it
The Warm breeze blows
A new day is dawning
For Winning is closer then it appears
Soon another year comes.
The Voice echoing our success over the radio
We are the Minnesota Vikings
We will be back
Feel the Breeze Minnesota
Victory is close at hand
Maybe not next year
But it's close
We will be back

Nice job.

This sounds exactly like those MN Viking promos they ran last season.

I can just hear the voice over guy with the shots of Viking fans with face paint.

Rick Spielman singing to other teams' GMs, to the tune of Steve Miller's Come On in to My Kitchen:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osx60zMm9M8

You better call in to my war room
Because we're going to be tradin', I know
You better call in to my war room
Because we're going to be tradin', I know

The tackle we love
Saw him playin' at USC
You could get lucky
And have him at three

You better come on into my war room, yeah yeah
Because we're gonna be takin' offers fast
Hey, hey
I said baby
Come on baby, come on
Well, come on mama
Let's have some fun

You better come on baby
Into my war room, yeah yeah
Because we're going to be tradin'
Hey, hey
Mama yeah

The corner we love
The one from LSU?
He could be yours if ya like
Or you can play against him too

Alright
Now come on baby
I said it is all right
Well, you know
I said we're gonna be tradin' that pick down

History Teaches Us Many Lessons
A tale once told in Baltimore
A former Viking man imposed a ban
maybe if the ban is reimposed
History can repeat
The word starts with P.
Horns must be earned
before the word of curse can be uttered
Speaking of so will bring a curse to your mutter
So tread on with caution
For the territory we enter now is unkown
Anyone who utters the word before horns have been earned
Shall Inherit the Wind.

For better or for the worse

His name is Ponder.

The "Done" Poem

They all said it can't be done.
They said Adrian won't make it for the season.
But then that got done.
They said you can't compete this year
But then team got that done.
Then a man called percy got hurt.
They said you certainly can't compete now, It can't be done
Then the Vikings got that done.
Finally as week 17 approached.
It was said that you can't outduel the Packers and make the playoffs, Couldn't possibly be done.
Then it got done.
So let them talk and say, This can't be done and that can't be done but it truly doesn't matter what they say can't be done
Because.....
It can be done, And as the Vikings hold Lombardi after the conclusion of super-bowl 48, I will look at the TV and simply state....
Justice has been done.

when the '13 Draft had all settled down
when so many GM's ended with a frown
all the talking heads decided who made the best deal
and almost unanimously it was the guy named Spiel

who took all those first round o-line guys?
who figured they were basement bargain buys?
Spiel just waited and let his guys drop
and played good guy to the Childress bad cop

picked up Sharrif and then the X-Man Rhodes
oh the high fives passed around in loveboat loads
but Spiel wasn't done when the Patriots were the caller
so traded up our 2nd for a premium shifty baller

then a Penn State 'backer and eventually another
and damn if Spiel didn't draft a punter brother
some linemen too and then the UDFA's
the man was on a player acquisition craze

say what you want, say he's been bad for years
but other GM's cry salty crocodile tears
when they look at his drafts and see all our new toys
he did it again, he whipped them like boys
