I would say that statement is debatable.
Lynch:
250 Carries-1036 yards-8 TD
4.14 per carry
1 TD every 31.25 carries
47 receptions-300 yards-1 TD
Jackson:
130 Carries-571 yards-3 TD
4.4 per carry
1 TD every 43.3 carries
37 receptions-317 yards-0 TD |
Lynch has more TD's cuz he got most of the goal line carries. He also has more receptions cuz he was out there more but Marshawn dropped a ton of passes that he could have caught. Jackson had a better yards per carry and he has much better hands. |

21 Yards
@ Jacksonville:
11 Yards
vs. Oakland:
14 Yards
3 Yards
vs. San Diego
9 Yards
@ Miami:
8 Yards
@ KC:
1 Yard
@ Denver:
2 Yards
Three of Marshawn's 8 TDs can be deemed as "goal-line carries" but you are wrong in your statement. Fred Jackson actually got MORE carries inside the 5 than Marshawn did. If you think I'm wrong, check it out for yourself. Just go to the play by play of each game on NFL.com and count the carries for each of them inside the 5 for the season. On most occasions, when Buffalo had their goal-line offense on the field, they either passed or gave it to Fred. Marshawn's goal-line carries were very limited this season in all actuality.
