Honestly I feel like the whole team should be took out behind the woodshed and beat with an axe handle.......honestly.........but if I had to choose a player of the year its Leodis McKelvin hes the only player on the team who excited me every time the ball was near him on the field. _________________

I am going with Lynch because he improved his YPC, most more involved in the passing game getting more than twice the amount of receptions he did last year, and getting 1336 all purpose yards. I was glad to see him used more in the passing game while maintaining (and improving) his ground game. He definitely progressed this year _________________

Lynch or Jackson ran the team after week 6 and you can never argue with the offensive headliner so I would have to go with lynch although there really is no clear cut winner. _________________

Not going to be a popular idea- but I would make Jackson our starter..
Run Freddy on 1st and 2nd.. Marshawn on short yardage, 3rd down, goal line with fresh legs.. _________________

I am saying Poz. He was the only consistent player throughout the year. _________________

I feel sick giving it to an offensive player but I'm going to say Lynch. When we look at the highlight reel of the season it is only going to contain Lynch runs. _________________ "Dear Bills, it's not too late to circle the wagons" - Chris Berman |

Jackson. I like Lynch but Jackson just outperformed him this year and should be player of the year. |

I would say that statement is debatable.
Lynch:
250 Carries-1036 yards-8 TD
4.14 per carry
1 TD every 31.25 carries
47 receptions-300 yards-1 TD
Jackson:
130 Carries-571 yards-3 TD
4.4 per carry
1 TD every 43.3 carries
37 receptions-317 yards-0 TD _________________

I'll take Stroud. I can't believe he is not even an option and DiGiorgio is. _________________

Here are the week to week winners for this year:
Week 1 winner: Coaching Staff
Week 2 winner: Trent Edwards
Week 3 winner: Marshawn Lynch
Week 4 winner: Jabari Greer
Week 5 winner: Lee Evans
Week 6 winner: Bye
Week 7 winner: Kawika Mitchell and Trent Edwards
Week 8 winner: Lee Evans
Halfway Point Player of the Year: Trent Edwards
Week 9 winner: Derek Fine
Week 10 winner: Ryan Denney
Week 11 winner: Marshawn Lynch
Week 12 winner: Leodis McKelvin
Week 13 winner: Marshawn Lynch
Week 14 winner: Bryan Scott
Week 15 winner: Marshawn Lynch
Week 16 winner: Fred Jackson
Week 17 winner: Fred Jackson
Last season Marshawn Lynch was the winner.
If I were making the poll for this year I would make the following as options:
QB Trent Edwards - 245/274 (65.5%), 2699 yards, 11 TD, 10 INT, 85.4 rating
RB Marshawn Lynch - 250 carries for 1036 yards (4.1 avg), 8 TD; 47 receptions for 300 yards, 1 TD (1336 total yards)
RB Fred Jackson - 130 carries for 571 yards (4.4 avg), 3 TD; 37 receptions for 317 yards; 12 kick returns for 181 yards, 7 punt returns for 116 yards (1185 total yards)
WR Lee Evans - 63 receptions for 1017 yards (16.1 avg), 3 TD; 1 carry for 22 yards
LT Jason Peters - Only Bill to make the Pro Bowl
DE Ryan Denney - 58 tackles (40 solo), 4.0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 7 passes defended
DT Marcus Stroud - 45 tackles (29 solo), 2.5 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 7 passes defended
MLB Paul Posluszny - 110 tackles (87 solo), 1 forced fumble, 6 passes defended, 1 interception for 9 yards
OLB Kawika Mitchell - 82 tackles (57 total), 4.0 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 3 passes defenced, 2 interceptions for 33 yards
CB Jabari Greer - 37 tackles (31 solo), 7 passes defended, 2 interceptions for 75 yards and 2 TD
CB/KR Leodis McKelvin - 32 tackles (26 solo), 1 forced fumble, 5 passes defended, 2 interceptions for 64 yards and 1 TD; 52 kick returns for 1468 yards (28.2 avg) and 1 TD; 2 punt returns for 26 yards
Just missed: PR/WR Roscoe Parrish, CB Terrence McGee, WR Josh Reed, S Bryan Scott, P Brian Moorman
My vote goes to Marshawn Lynch. He was quiet early on, but eventually got the running game going with his hard running style. He also took the blame for the ground game even though he was only partly to blame. I would have liked to pick a defensive player but no one on that side of the field clearly stood above the rest. Whereas on the offense (albeit a poor offense overall), Lynch is the player that really sticks out. _________________
