It is killing me how inconsistant this Kings team is one day they play a great game and can beat anyone ..the next day it looks like we should have the 1st overall pick in the draft.
O well some things never change. _________________ The Teams:

I guess the LaBarbera trade opens the door for Jon Quick to get more playing time. _________________

Stud goaltender Jonathan Bernier has been recalled on an emergency basis to replace Erik Ersberg, who was hurt in the loss to Dallas on Saturday. Jon Quick takes over as starter, but if he needs rest in the time it takes Ersberg to recover, Bernier will likely make his season debut for the Kings.
Bernier is 10-12-3 on a pretty bad Manchester Monarchs team, surrendering 2.79 goals per game. Coming out of the draft he was considered a project, and if he doesn't start to dominate the AHL at least, he'll be in danger of being a bust. _________________

Kings fans where are you ? it's a great time to be a Kings fan because for the first time in so many years we can actually compete with anyone in this league . D.Brown is a monster ,definitely my favourite NHL player ..he is a young captain with a lot of leadership and skill ..and Drew Doughty so young but so good already ..omg, I'm so happy we'll see playoffs in LA this season

Don't get me wrong. I'm as big a Kings fan as they come. But let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. It is great seeing them sniffing the playoffs for the first time in a long time. Lombardi is putting together a heck of a team and is working hard at keeping all the key players in L.A. for a long time. We are definately ahead of schedule. We were "predicted to be in the bottom 5 of the NHL on every preseason power ranking I got my hands on. However, everyone of those said to watch out within the next couple of years cause' they are coming.
I just don't want to get too far into it, cause' the Kings have a long history of not getting it done. But as of now, I'm with ya! Cheering every game and if they keep up thier current play.....your prediction will come true and they will make some noise in the post-season as well.
Keep cheering my friend! See around the boards. _________________ The Lions will finish 8-8 in the 2013-14 season.

Hi there. IMO , in playoffs anything can happen . If we don't win big deal , the pressure is not on our side . Our youngsters will win experience and that's the most important factor looking forward
Great article here :

I wasn't too confident in Murray but he's a good coach

I agree with you 100%. We are way ahead of "schedule" and if we make the playoffs, great! If we win or lose, doesn't matter. They get the experience for next season and the "hunger' to not lose again. I'm with ya Goon. GO KINGS! _________________ The Lions will finish 8-8 in the 2013-14 season.

Oh man , I hate running into hot goalies . Kipper stole that one away from us and I'm so pissed . We were the better team but like I said Kipper was unbelievable(36 shots turned away) . We still have two more games at home before going on a road trip playing back-to-back games against Sharks and Ducks
IMO , we should win against Edmonton(streaky as hell) and Atlanta(rock bottom) |

Stole one point from Edmoton (we tied it with 1 minute left in game) . Next game against Atlanta , a team that will play its 2nd game in two nights , hopefully we take advantage and win the game . We badly need these 2 points

Well, we certainly stole 2 pts. from the Wild last night. The Kings weren't outplayed, but thier 1 goal was accidently put in by the other teams guy. Both goalies played amazing. I'm just glad to get the points. We need em'. We still have a shot.

Ahhhhhhh! dammit! oh well. Kings played one heck of a game tonight (again) and got 0 pts. to show for it. The Wings were just a little better. I don't know if we'll make it (to the post season) this year (don't count us out), but we're getting there. And ahead of "schedule."
