Week 11 Gameday Thread: Raiders (2-7) @ Dolphins (5-4)

This is a game I could see the Raiders winning, but I won't get my hopes up. Even though the Dolphins are hot and have won their last three games, we have a shot if we stick to our gameplan.

Keys to the game -

Offense

Get McFadden the ball - Good things happen when he has the ball in his hands.

Protect Russell - We can't win if we can't pass the ball. We can't pass the ball if we can't block. Simple as that. We need to stop Joey Porter from murdering Russell.

Zach Miller - He is our only threat in the passing game. We need to get him the ball early and often. Miller has his best games against 3-4 ran defenses, so I expect to see him involved a lot. Kwame Harris is the only guy that's slowing Miller down from becoming a top 10 Tight End, and that's the truth.

Defense

Stop the run - We haven't done a good job in this category as of late, and it doesn't look good as Miamia has Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams ready to go with the wildcat formation.

Win the TO battle - Last week we did a good job of forcing TOs, we need for that to continue this week. Pennington is a very acurate guy that doesn't make a lot of mistakes, and Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams aren't known for their fumbling issues so it's going to be tough trying to get a TO.

Get off the field - We can't allow Miamia to sustain long, back-breaking drives or this game will be over before you know it. We simply have to get off the field when we are supposed to, because our offense isn't going to help our D out very much. Get on and off the field and we have a shot.

Burgess, Ricky Brown, Jon Alston and Chaz Schilens all appear to be out.

Pennington is out for this game.. So that helps some. If Kiffin was still here I would say we win.. But not with this joke of a coaching staff.

Pennington is probable with a foot injury, i am sure he will get the start... But watch for Henne to come in if he isn't effective... GL raiders..

Trevor Scott has given up an insane amount of penalties considering he has had not much play time.

defense sucks.... did u c kalimba edwards on that reverse. A frigin pop warner d end knows 2 go up field. Sam williams sucks too. So tired of watching these pathetic players
