It's just jokes, it's not like he's going into your forum and posting it. I'm sure everyone else makes jokes about divisional rivals as well. _________________

Wow every post is about that one little picture and the comment a pats fan made.
Anywho, pertaining to the game, I can't wait to see this one. The Patriots are still stacked no doubt, but lose the best player in the game at the most important position of the game.
Will Matt Cassell be able to carry the Pat's pass heavy offense on his shoulder's?
Will Favre be able to score against a very nice Pat's Defense?
How will Thomas Jones fare after a stellar week one performance?
And can the dynamic young duo of Revis and Lowery keep the Pat's stellar recievers in check? _________________

I don't think people realize how bad the Pats secondary is, I hope we come out throwing. They got a very solid run defense with Seymour, Wilfork, and Warren on the line. But if we can give Favre time to throw, Cotchery and Coles should make mince meat out of there corners.
Cotchery has always been great against the Pats and I look for that to continue, like 2 of there CBs are 5'9.
Now defensively, I hope we blitz Matt Cassel, make him have to make reads. When he can lock onto his target he is actually pretty decent, but because hes so inexperienced he has no clue how to make his progressions. We need to blitz early an often to throw off his rhythm, can't let him get comfortable.
If we do that, and play solid against the run I think it could be a long day for the Pats.
Biggests Keys for the Jets
- Stop the run
- Get Cassel out of rhythm early by blitzing
- Protect Favre so he has time to pick apart there secondary |

Always?? His average stats the past two seasons against us (I won't even go past that because it would even further skew his averages down)...
6 catches, 121 yards
6 catches, 70 yards
6 catches, 57 yards
6 catches, 53 yards
Average:
6 catches, 75 yards
And even those stats don't tell the whole story because he had that one 71 yard TD where everyone thought he was down, but he just ran the whole way. Take away that, and he is at about 50 something yards receiving per game against us the past 2 seasons.
Don't get me wrong, I think he is one of the most underrated players in the league (I even wrote that in my pregame post in the Pats forum), but to say he has always done great against us is false. _________________

The Patriots probably have the largest disparity between quality of defensive line and quality of defensive backs, so I expect the Jets to throw the hell out of the ball until it's time to run down the clock, pending we get to that point.
As a result, Thomas Jones should have a limited role while more wide receivers get into the mix.
This will also be a good time to check out Dustin Keller, since he'll be going up against what are, for the most part, aging linebackers.
I also am curious to see how New England runs the ball. Do they continue to throw it 40 times per game simply because of Randy Moss, or do they go to their overall point of strength, their running game?
I expect Wes Welker to be what he was as a Dolphin.
In short, a lot of things to watch for this week. _________________

| Guess I was wrong, my fault. I just remember always seeing Cotchery do well against you guys, and us calling him a Patriot killer like the year before last. |

I honestly don't have the faintest idea who is going to win this game, I think it's 50-50 to be honest, there are so many variables in this game that I'm a little fuzzy on. The Jets need this one though more, Cassel will be at his shakiest because I feel he'll only get better as they move deeper in the season and we're at home and have to prove we can beat this team (especially without Brady). _________________

Keys to victory:
Jets
Spread the Pats out and throw the ball often: The Pats even before this year were known to be weak to a spread attack. For us to win this game, we need to score early and often. No FG's. Just TD's.
Blitz blitz blitz: We don't know much about Cassel, so all we can do is just blitz the hell outta him and make him uncomfortable. With the amount of points we should be able to put up, we can afford to blitz because the Pats will likely be forced to pass.
Pats
Run effectively: The Pats are going to have to help out Cassel, theres a reason why he isn't a starter when guys like JT O'Sullivan are. He's not that good. Lawrence Maroney needs to have a big day and the line has got to block well for not only Maroney but Cassel as well.
Play more nickel and dime: It's obvious the Jets are going to try and throw more often due to the Pats weakness in the secondary. To counter this, they should put out more DB's. Even if they aren't that good, having that speed on the field should allow them to play better. _________________
