If the Pats sign Quincy, it is showing either desperation or bravado.
Desperation, because Morgan has been a consistant disappointment since his rookie year. In his second year, he developed a severe case of "dropsies", and never seemed to recover. If Bill Parcells couldn't get him to catch, I don't know if anybody could.
Bravado would be thinking that the coaches thinking they could fix him. I don't know if the Pats would be willing to take that risk.
If you were looking for a great run-blocking WR, he's great at that. He got a lot of practice in it since his college QB was Ell Roberson. I would say that Morgan is a TE in a WR's body.
I think the Pats would be much better off with Andre Davis in the slot, instead of Morgan.
This is coming from someone who watched pretty much every play of both their professional careers. |
