Orr, McCray and Easley all were talking major crap to us in the student section and McCray actually threw his full gatorade cup at us. On the other hand Sturgis is one of the classiest guys I've seen. We were chanting his name the whole game and he'd turn around and wave then continue to ignore us unlike the other 3 I mentioned earlier. What McCray did was unacceptable and as a Division I athlete he should be able to ignore small heckling. Besides that great game (at least the first have was a great game). You guys deserved to win |
McCray doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who would do that. Easley, I could see that from. He's a serious hot head and has a temper that unfortunately can translate to off the field. But you have to take the bad with the good. His ferocity on the field is unparalleled on that defense except by maybe Mike Taylor.
Sorry to hear McCray did that. It's pretty disappointing. Hopefully Muschamp gets that kind of crap taken care of.
Thanks for the congratulations as well. I really thought this was going to be Tennessee's year to knock off the Gators. The time just seemed ripe for it. Frankly, I was shocked to see the Gators do what they did tonight.
On that note,
This is the most fun it's been to be a Gator fan in three years. To not sit here and question offensive playcalling or schemes, to not have to go: Why do the players completely suck at doing this or that?
It was fun just being able to sit back and not have to criticize a thousand things, or shake my head at the latest blunder. To see a good game plan executed to perfection: we haven't seen that since Percy Harvin and Dan Mullen departed.
That kind of win gives a team momentum. It sets the tone for the season. If the Gator defense can better itself and continue to deliver and the offense maintains the explosiveness we saw in the second half against Tennessee, I think they have a shot to keep that LSU game close. _________________

Agreed. The Number 3 team vs the Number 4 team - the winner is in the driver seat for the SEC East Championship. _________________

I had expected us to go and represent the East. I was a fan of M-Chomp at Texas and I was thrilled when we brought him in. But we are playing at a level higher than I could have imagined. Next year I expect us to be a much better contender.
We are not a BSC National Championship contender. I don't think anyone beats Bama this year. _________________
