And hey, if a few posters wanna get together and put together a history section about the NFL, I'm down to help engineer it. If anyone is interested, just like PM me and we'll get a few posters and we'll do a write up on the history of the NFL and most memorable moments, etc. |
This is an awsome idea. I would love to read a History guide over NFL, that is written in a way like this these formation guide written by Coach. That would help alot of fans on this site. |
yeah i would benefit from it especially, i need to brush up on the history side of the league. |
I got tons of historic DVD's, from SB 1 to that two years ago. Its the best imaginable way to approach it...That is if you have time and money for something like that.. But it would be cool if FF had somehting similar to this
it would be much nicer if someone on the site, or even coach himself, or the guy that came with the idea, or whoever has knowledge and time and interest for it, made a relatively shorter version and explained the development and the greatest moments and players and developments and so on from day one to now. And not only SB era, but from the early begining and NFL championships That would be cool. So many great stuff we can develop on this site. Im sure there are many people interested in getting more knowledge about the sport and in sequential fashion
Coach did his team analasys in a sequential rational approach, and it looks awsome and it's easy to find arround.
I know there is one poster, that makes history lessons from time to time in general forum, but they are hard to find, and they are not sequential and ordered at all. But they are great indeed, those i have read, could easy be material for this kind of future FF history book, if anyone makes this. _________________

Well I know quite a bit about the history and all that, but I'd be hard pressed to put a lot of it in chronological order, let alone even harder pressed to make sure everything I put down is precisely accurate. Like I said, Xs and Os are more my thing than a history lesson. _________________ Being a Coach doesn't mean I know everything. But I sure try to.

Well you are pretty much X's and O's expert on this site. If anyone decides to make a chronological FF History Compilation, i think you at least should help to that as well and give advices.. In a way it's also connected in some parts to X´s and O´s And thing like that takes hours and hours... With your three kids and that many jobs, you shouldnt go in that direction and make it alone:-) What you've done here already guarantees you a MVP, or two perhaps _________________

I'm not quite sure, really. I've done all the positions, obviously. I've done schematics.
I'll figure out something though, just need a few days. It's never too late to finish college, and I've recently gone back to expand on my degree. So time for such is scarce.
Maybe an indepth look at defenses and offenses. We'll see. _________________ Being a Coach doesn't mean I know everything. But I sure try to.

I've never played on a coverage or return team in my life (I'm admittedly a bigger guy who played RT my whole life, well into college). And I leave all designs of such to my assistants as a coach. Special teams is just not something I am well versed in, and I really don't want to give bad or poorly informed information. These posts aren't based on opinion but rather on fact and contain information rather than personal thoughts. I don't want to sway from that by breaking down something I am not entirely 100% familiar and informed on.
In short, I know where my in depth knowledge ends, and special teams is one place it does just that. _________________ Being a Coach doesn't mean I know everything. But I sure try to.
