i know we drafted him as a MLB, but can he also play WLB, cus Sean Payton says he has participated in "a heavy dose of action with the first-team defense throughout the weekend"!!! It sounds like he has really impressed the staff so far. Way to go Marvin!

If we can get production of him, I would be thrilled. Someone on here was saying that he is terribly slow though so Im not sure about OLB for him. _________________

If we would've drafted Keith Rivers we wouldn't have to put that BUM Marvin Mitchell at WLB. What the hell are the coaches thinking? Seriously though, he probably got a lot of snaps with the 1st team to help spare Johnny Vilma at MLB, but if he's at WLB, that will be very interesting to see how he does. I've never seen a MLB convert to WLB. Most of the MLBs I see go to SLB. Should make it easier for him then, eh? We'll see once Preseason starts. |

I think he ran a 4.96 but I can't remember. I don't see it, but you never know what is going to happen. _________________

Vilma and Morgan are both examples of MLB's that would be moved to WLB if they had to make a transition though. There are fewer LBers that can go sideline to sideline int he NFl than ones that can just blitz and stuff the run that's why most go from MLB to SLB. _________________

I'm thinking he might be getting reps at MLB to spell Vilma and so that Simoneau can take as many WLB reps as possible. _________________

I'm not too enticed about his speed. But hey, anyone is an upgrade over Simoneau at MLB right? _________________

i read in the news paper this morning that patton said he was goin to get some playing time next year other than special teams... but it didnt say wheather or not he was goin to play outside or middle.... im eager to see how he does....i hope he does really good....
about his speed he may not have been fast coming out of college but i would bet that he has gotten faster since he has been in the NFL for one season... im sure the strenght and conditioning coach has had him working on getting faster all season last year... IMO _________________
