In football, what does the position called SAF mean? I was on NFL.com and I came across this acronym for a player position. Does anyone know what this is supposed to stand for? Is SAF some new position I've never heard of in my 20 years of watching football? Somehow, I seriously doubt it.

Super- Athletic- Freak

Basically, it is referring to Carson Palmer. you will find it in the dictionary with his face next to the word.

How is J.Tuck a athletic freak?..

265lbs running a 4.73 and doing 24 reps is not something you go Shocked to.

Don't know if anyone said this but SAF I believe is just a shortened way of writing Safety (which is dumb. I prefer FS, SS, or S),
