It's a Canada thing.

If you ever meet someone that's Canadian (which, I'm sure you have, if you're from Buffalo), they say De-troy-it, instead of the more common US pronounciation of De-Troyt. I understand why it is often misspelled by Canadians, but most Americans should be able to spell Detroit.

Red Wings are on top of the Stars 3-2.

Last year in the West Finals, the Red Wings led the Ducks 3-2.
This series isn't over yet.

It's far from over.

I will be going to the game tomorrow. I was at Game 4 and the atmosphere was electric, I can only imagine what game 6 will be like. I am so freaking excited. You can't beat playoff hockey.

I suddenly have a terrible feeling about this series...

I'll say this. If we lose tomorrow, we're going to lose game seven.

That's the series. We're onto the Cup finals, and I have a good feeling about this year. Very Happy

Nice work guys. I think you guys will take the Cup this year. You have a lot of very good players and a great system. Detroit-Pittsburgh is a really good matchup.

Those three first period goals could have saved our season.

I'll be very excited to watch this series, I haven't watched too much hockey in a while other than Detroit, and obviously Pittsburgh has got two of the best young talents in the game.

That was a pretty depressing game. The first Draper goal was bush league, he was in the crease when he whacked it in. The Datsyuk goal was Grossman's fault, he should have cleared the puck. The Drake goal should have been prevented by good defense and Turco being more agressive in the net. The Zetterberg goal was really pretty, I don't think Roy in his prime would have stopped him. The Stars had no life in the 1st and 2nd period, I don't think I have seen a worse PP unit the Stars threw out there in the 1st and 2nd period. The better team won, though. It just sucks that there will be no more playoff hockey in Dallas until next year.

Another great year for Detroit finally ends with the cup.

I am also looking forward to the future with these guys. We still have a ton of young talent on this roster mixed in with the vets.

Abdelkader- LW- 20 yrs
Emmerton- C- 19 yrs
Ericsson- D- 24 yrs
Filppula- C- 24 yrs
Helm- C- 20 yrs (is fast as heck)
Howard- G- 24 yrs
Hudler- RW- 24 yrs
Kindl- D- 20 yrs
Meech- D- 24 yrs
Quincey- D- 23 yrs

Of course

Zetterberg- LW- 28 yrs

There is still a lot of young talent on this roster to compete for a few years to come. Obviously it all depends on the contracts of the mentioned players.
