I just got this game and just finished my first preseason game. I forgot to change the settings so the difficulty was on Pro...for all you madden junkies, you know this is why the score is a little ridiculous.

Dallas 76
Arizona 3

Passing
Bledsoe 12/17 156 yards 4 tds 138.7
Romo 8/13 129 yards 3 tds 134.3
Henson3/9 59 yards 1 int 17.6 Laughing

Rushing
Jones 11/125 2 tds
Thomas 8/65 1 td
Barber 3/9
Barnes 2/7

Catching
Johnson 9/147 2 tds
Glenn 4/47 2 tds
Morgan 3/45
Witten 3/30 2 tds
Crayton 2/51 1 td
Copper 1/13

Sacks
Ferguson 2
Ware 2
Carson 1

Interceptions
Nguyen 3

Forced Fumbles
Nguyen 1

Fumble Recoveries
Williams 1

Impressions:
Our defense if very good in this game with Ware being fast enough to get around Tackles and Nguyen is just a beast. Passes are never complete with the slew of great cornerbacks we have. Bledsoe has a decent sized "passing cone" while Romo's and Henson's are both very small. Julius is very good in this game, but I was suprised by how good they made A-train and Barber. In fact, Barber almost seems faster than the Juice.

Feel free to post your madden stats.

P.S. All-pro time....I just traded my 2006 1st round draft pick for Matt Jones Very Happy

Last night I kicked off to the Seahawks and Matt Jones ran down and got there first, stuck the returner real hard, caused a fumble, picked it up, and took it back to the house. Matt Jones is very beast in this game. Did you notice Nguyen's awareness is 98 or something, it definately shows in the game. He is always around the ball. I haven't signed up for online madden yet, but my username will be 392degrees once I do.

in my first season the redskins were 10-6 and the cowboys were 9-7 but in the first game they played the cowboys won 6-0 it was a low scoring one but the 2nd one the score was 34-0 for the skins i wish i got the stats for them but i didnt but i still got the scores cant wait to see all the rookies play in real life cuz they are pretty good in the game.

well you's guys are gonna laugh at my a**. now keep in mind i read no directions on the new button changes or passing changes. i just cranked it up to all-madden, simmed the pre-season and went right into the Dallas/SD game......after you see my stats you'll understand why i've decided to read the instruction booklet :-S

(FA signings, Chris Terry (C), Kyle Turley (RT))
Passing
Bledsoe 11-45, 236 yards 1TD 13 (yes, thirteen) INT's sacked 5 times
Henson 0-1 1INT

Rushing

yeah, i don't really like it. IMO the vision cone is pointless, and makes passing unbelievably difficult. i know it's supposed to be the better the QB, the bigger the vision cone, but IMO the QB is as good as the person playing the game, so that part sucks. and sure, throw the pass in the cone and it'll be on target, but i'm having a problem gettin' people open, or the times they are open i'm being blitzed, and there's not enough time to hold R2, hit the WR button to lock on, then hit the button again to pass.....i can't dump off because it's damn near impossible to get it accurately to anyone outside the cone. i can complete the pass on occasion, but if i'm going to throw 10 INT's a game (game 2, Bledsoe.....10 INT 0 TD) then it's pointless in playing. but what i hate worse than the passing, is the defense.....i don't like that X is now defensive speedburst (even though you can change it back to the old setting).....and i hate that to double a WR you have to be on the player you'd like to double him with, and still hope to have time to get back to the player you actually want to use. i also don't like that it cycles through players backwards from previous versions of the game. plus......what's up with the lack of blocking on the freakin' PR's

The passing cone idea is cool at first, but it becomes frustrating eventually because of the CPU's amazing pass rush. You can play against one of the NFL Europe teams, and they'll still be in the backfield at the snap 90% of the time. I just switched it back to the old passing style, and passing's a lot more fun now.

that's probably a good idea. the cone makes it pretty much impossible to play on all-madden. unless you have a vision cone atleast half the size of the feild it's gonna be an pointless effort every time IMO
