This means that the Chargers wouldn't get any compensation back if another team choses to sign Danario Alexander to an offer sheet but they do have the right for first refusal, aka have the ability to match the offer sheet.
It was expected that the Chargers would at least place a 2nd round tender on Alexander who played well last season, recording 37 catches for 658 yards and 7 TDs.
Alexander is known for having serious injury concerns but it's a surprising move by the Chargers. _________________

It was expected by who? The fans, maybe. Every journalist I've seen thus far was expecting this - particularly given Alexander's injury history - no one was going to give up a draft pick for DX. _________________

As long as no team comes along just trying to give him money to steal him and get to the floor, we'll be fine. Just wish we did put ht second on him and prevent anyone. _________________

We have right of first refusal still. So worst case scenario we have to decide if he is worth market value to bring back. Smart play by the front office. He produced for is but hasn't shown he can be a full season contributer. I doubt anyone will even sniff in his direction until after this season if he stays healthy. _________________

Teams would be crazy to not go after him. Him getting cut and not being signed to mid season last year was such a freaking joke, he is a beast. _________________

He is, but no team will trust his knee and unless the offer is ridiculous the Chargers will match. _________________
