NFL.com and NFL Network's Steve Wyche reported Monday night that RB Cedric Benson will be out approximately eight weeks with a Lisfranc injury, which would place his return somewhere around the first week of December -- if he doesn't need potentially season-ending surgery.
The Packers can't afford to lose a veteran back like Benson, who leads the team with 248 yards on 71 carries. Their next leading rusher, Alex Green, has just 57 yards and is representative of Green Bay's paper-thin backfield.

For how much they throw the ball, Benson didn't look horrible out there.
But that surely doesn't help them. I'm guessing they'll just IR him, and give his spot to someone who needs to be activated, or they could go trade for someone. _________________

Todman would be a good fit for their offense. |

He'd be a good fit for our's too but we still don't play him.
(He's young and unproven, but I think he has the skills to be a Chester Taylor type back) _________________

Have the times changed, or what
Todman is probably the 2nd best RB the Packers would have. |

what with Crosby missing the field goal that would have tied the Colts game, maybe they should give Longwell a call.... _________________

I didn't realize that the Packers actually run the ball anyway. _________________

Quote: | Things aren’t going well this year for the Packers, and it’s creating frustration. Which is leading to guys saying things that maybe they shouldn’t be saying.
The latest guy to let his frustration become verbalized is tight end Jermichael Finley. Amid yet another disappointing season for the player who has plenty of potential, Finley blames his lack of production on an absence of chemistry with the team’s quarterback. |

Between his comments and those from other Packers' players (including an "unnamed" one who thinks the refs are out to get them), I think there is clear evidence of a "schism" that will do in the Packers this year. _________________

Finley has played with Rodgers since 2008, I dont understand how there can be a lack of chemistry. That is inexcusable on Finley's part and makes you question Rodgers ability to lead a team and group of receivers. How much does he go out of his way to truly care about all of his receiver, or is Finley simply not worth the effort? |

When it rains it pours I guess. In the past few years, everything has been going the Packers' way. They've had great teams, scored plenty of points, created turnovers, won games, even a superbowl, but now the tide is turning.
They haven't had to deal with this amount of negativity for years. Maybe they got a little sloppy, or took things for granted. I do believe the talent is still there, but it's just not coming together for them right now. _________________
