Middlebrooks traded for Engelberger!

I like this trade. He started coming into his own next year and plays well. He's the kind of guy the Patriots would love to have. Their kind of player.

i was hearing that there was a chance that the niners were trying to trade Andre Carter for Middlebrooks, i guess its a decent deal (for Engelbrenger [spelling?]), but i'll rather want Carter or a 4th round draft pick in 2006.

It's a good trade - a fringe player for a guy who'll play regularly. The DE rotation is looking pretty strong and pretty deep.

(I wonder if there's some uncertainty about someone's health???)

Coleman, Johnson, etc. -- Those guys aren't going to make it.
