Jaguars | 83 Players Attend Workout
Thu, 7 Jul 2005 19:39:50 -0700

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports 83 Jacksonville Jaguars' players were in attendance for the team's offseason conditioning program workout Wednesday, July 6. The sessions are voluntary.

And 63 players had 100% attendance to our VOLUNTARY work out sessions. Man we got some loyal players. I love to see that. It going to be tough cutting some of them.

If JDR is anything like Denny Green, missing VOLUNTARY workouts earns you a free pass to unemployment.

Yup, that's why you probably won't be seeing Troy Hambrick in a Cards jersey this year.

when they say VOLUNTARY workouts...what they really mean is if you are on the bubble, it is mandatory. Coaches don't take kindly to not showing up at voluntary workouts.

Exactly. The whole voluntary label is kind of a joke actually. At least with a serious coach anyways.

In some camps.

Ask Anquan Boldin if you don't believe.

If a star player doesn't come...the media will be all over it even if it is voluntary. The coaches won't be happy, the whole situation isn't pretty. If you are a bubble player, you might as well pack your bags and look for a new profession.

They're always gonna be there, voluntaryor not.

Boldin threatened to miss workouts. Green basically told him to go ahead because we would go on without him. Brought him and Rosenhaus back to earth really quick.

There are so many voluntary workouts that I guarantee you that there are so many big players that missed it that you didn't hear about because the media wasn't all over it...

You think every star on every team had 100% attendance? Rolling Eyes
