Singletary helps with the linebackers and is special assistant to the head coach. |
Yes, they are co-coaches of the LBs...it's just that Singletary also has the assistant HC title to go along with it.
As far as Paton, I hope he gets the Cleveland job. That would be a good job for him, because with the job he's done assisting Spielman, I can't see anyone else doing a better job in rebuilding the Cleveland team.
With the AFC North headed downward, that division would be ripe for the taking in a couple of years.
As a result, I could then see Studwell taking over the assistant GM job (although they might bring someone else in considering how well Studwell has done in his current position). I can't believe that Studwell has been part of the Vikings' organization for 36 years? I remember his playing days very well (well, at least the last 5-7 years anyway). _________________

so how do you guys feel on this big brouhaha that's out there now - whether Shanahan risked RGIII and should have pulled him, so to lessen the chance for injury? _________________

I personally didn't watch the game at all, but if the injury was as bad as it appears to have been, it probably wasn't a great decision to let him play. Especially when they did have (what appears to be at least) a competent backup in Cousins. _________________

toe got caught up in the rough turf while trying to pick up a fumble that came from a bad snap. guy just crumpled up and dropped to the ground.
but i guess he was limping earlier in the game, on his already damaged and braced knee, and Shanahan didn't pull him. _________________

Taken five spots after a punter in round three of the 2012 draft, Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has become dollar-for-dollar the best value in the NFL. And that won’t be changing soon. Under the 2011 Collective Bargaining Agreement, all contracts for draft picks have a mandatory length of four years. And those contracts cannot be renegotiated until three seasons have passed.
So even if the Seahawks want to give Wilson a raise, they can’t. He’ll make $526,217 in 2013 and $662,434 in 2014. After his third season, the Seahawks can reward him.

It was actually the play prior to the one in the picture he did the damage to his knee. Gutsy staying out there for him after that probably didn't help it any though. _________________ Gnat's Movie Reviews

RGIII has been a season-ending injury waiting to happen all season long. You can't put a lanky 200 lbs guy in the firing line like that and just hope for the best. _________________

Same story with Michael Vick. Teams need to learn to not use QBs like this, yet so many proclaim it to be the wave of the future. It simply never will be, the risk of injury is too much unless your built like Cam Newton. |
