Alongside LCB Nick Harper, a handful of unproven candidates are cying for a spot on a defense desperate for playmakers. Candidates include rookieMarlin Jackson, Donald Strickland, Joseph Jefferson, Jason David and rookie Kelvin Hayden.

Team has all but announced that Jackson and Strickland are the starters. Harper is best suited for nickel back. Hayden and David will fight for the dime back position. Jefferson has been moved to safety with the impending suspension of Doss.
