I'd have to say it was a good move for Manningham. With the transition of the Spread Offense in Ann Arbor, his production was going decrease anyway. With McGuffie and several other high-profile RB's on the roster next year, Michigan should run the ball 70 percent of the time. As of right now, Michigan is expected to start Georgia Tech transfer Steven Threet at QB with David Cone, and a handful of athletes as likely challengers. I don't think it would be in his best interest to return. He may be a second round pick, but he has maxed out his draft stock.

On the Wolverines side, they should be fine in 2008 at WR even with the departures of Arrington and Manningham. They still have plenty of talented WR's coming back, headlined by Junior WR Greg Matthews, Junior Hemingway, and others. In addition, Darryl Stonum may be the best freshman WR to sign with Michigan in a long time. Lloyd did promise the kid Michigan's #1 jersey as a true frosh. He's going to be a good one.

I can't believe Coney still has eligibility left! Man he's gotta be real injury prone in football he wasn't exactly a healthy baseball player... I hope he doesn't have another aneurysm! J/K LOL!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Crying or Very sad My favorite college player, I really wanted him to stick round for his senior season in Ann Arbor. Good luck to him in the NFL! Both Manningham and Arrington are gone. Sad

WEll, I can't say I didn't expect it as a Michigan fan.

Arrington and Mannigham both gone, Michigan transitioning into a new era, lots of change happening.

I think everyone who gave a scholarship to Pryor is crossing their fingers on him. He's a beast.

McGuffie, JR Hemingway, Greg Matthews all look like they'll emerge for Michigan soon. We'll be fine.

good move. Im not so sure how well he fits into the spread or whatever. I also think hes gonna be a good nfl receiver and will be drafted in the first or 2nd.

IMO, this might be the best decision by an underclassmen so far.

This one and Kenny Phillips decision were very good, as well as Clady.

no such thing as a "bad decision" for a player who has an opportunity to do the greatest job on earth and is guaranteed to get paid big $. anyone who projects round 3 or higher whos stock will increase in workouts should not even consider "going back". are you a football player or are you a lawyer/businessman. thats the only decision. guys who are players come out, guys who want to do something else, provided they meet the criteria above, dont want them keep them as far away from black and gold as possible. they lack competitive fire, strong mind and will to be great
