| Quote: | Junior running back Jones to join McFadden, head to NFL
Arkansas junior running back Felix Jones plans to declare for the NFL draft at a news conference on Monday, two sources briefed on the decision said Sunday night.
Jones and junior teammate Darren McFadden, each of whom topped 1,000 yards rushing this season, could both be taken in the first round of the next NFL draft.
Jones, 6 feet, 207 pounds, averaged 8.7 yards per carry and scored 11 rushing touchdowns. He is also a proven threat as a returner. |

| Wow, now all the JRs I hoped would enter have declared. This is the best RB class as far as depth is concerned in quite some time. |

That's a pretty significant shakeup. 4 RBs now with legit 1st round grades means that every team that's looking for a RB can get one. _________________ Dead To Me:

Everybody is declaring this year.
Good choice by him though. He has a great chance to be a high first rounder. _________________

He would have gone much higher had he stayed though.
IMO, it wasn't a great decision, but it wasn't a horrible decision. |

Runningbacks have an immediate impact on the NFL if they are any good. They can start right away. If he had stayed, he could have been injured and his draft stock dropped.
A good RB is taking a big risk if they stay at college for 4 years. This position is based mainly on instinct and is not as complex to learn as almost every other NFL position. Only the kicking positions are a easier transition from college to the pros. |

| He reminds me a lot of Joseph Addai and will be a good pick for any team, IMO. |

Now I believe it's official after the press conference on Monday with both McFadden and Jones.

Ray Rice too as I recall.
The depth of rb in this class also means very quality guys will slip and go to some very good NFL teams.
Some second tier guys could have better production early on than the earlier pics that went to lesser talented teams.
It seems that RBBC is a growing trend in the NFL. |

Angers me that the Rams don't need a RB. There are some great backs that will be available in the second and third round. You team is very fortunate if the are in need of a RB (Seattle, Arizona, Houston, etc). Lucky dogs...! _________________
