Yup... Garrard is definately an essential part of our team this year and is just plain "insurance" but if we were to get a 2nd rounder or something for him, you just cant pass it up.

I think thats why we set it so high, because we didnt think many teams would give that up, and if they gave up a second or something, then great.

I think that Garrard will stay for this year...didn't we just sign him to a contract extension? Maybe we trade him in the off season next year IF Leftwich stays healthy all year and doesn't really get hurt. Pray

Yeah he definately will stay this year. He did just sign a contract extension of three years, but thats why I think we did it, to be able to trade him next year instead of just lose him to free agency.

If someone goes down in camp this year for another team, say for the year, some team could be desperate enough to cough up a 2nd rounder for him before the season. I don't know that you'd do it because you need insurance, but it's possible and something that could be worthy of consideration.

Great point there, that is a scenario that could happen... I think we would really stay firm on keeping him though.

I would initially say 5-11...but I would think even with it being the first year for a new staff, they should be better with Crennel, so I go with an optimistic 7-9.
