Nah, id rather stick with Alan Williams. I like what he has done with the defense. I wonder where Kiffin would want to go. I know Chicago still runs a lot of Cover 2. Maybe if Kiffin wanted to be a DB or LB coach.

Tarvaris Jackson: "Itís been a different season for me [in Buffalo.] Itís frustrating, but I understand the league, I understand how coaches are. Itís a cutthroat league and there really isnít any loyalty, so it wasnít like it was a big shock or anything like that.Ē

Tarvaris bought into his own hype in Seattle...here's a quote from the article in reference to Carroll, that sounds eerily similar to a quote from the Seahawks' franchise when they signed him.

Quote:
They were kind of screwing me around.

Stanford RB Stepfan Taylor is 35 yards shy of Darrin Nelsonís school-rushing record of 4,169 yards.

The appeal hearing in the bounty case continues on Monday, and an unlikely witness is testifying. Browns offensive coordinator Brad Childress has made the flight from California to Louisiana to testify before former Commissioner Paul Tagliabue.

Childress, the former head coach of the Vikings, reportedly got the bounty ball rolling by complaining to the league office that the Saints had a price tag on the head (and other body parts) of former Vikings quarterback Brett Favre. Childress specifically said that former Vikings defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy had said the Saints had a bounty on Favre.

The San Francisco 49ers auditioned former Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards, according to a league source.

Interesting to see where he would play in a 3-4.

Not a player, but Karl Dunbar has been an awesome DL coach for the Jets. He has done wonders with Muhammad Wilkerson this season. Thanks for him. Very Happy

I always liked Dunbar. He's a great coach, but the Vikings let him go because they wanted to move in a different direction and bring back Dunbar's former assistant. He's one of the best position coaches in the NFL.

Dunbar also had the stalking charge against him of a former wife or girlfriend, while the Vikings were in stadium funding negotiations.

that could have entered in to it also.

While it's not likely because there are other options out there for them...

Quote:
Darrell Bevell's name also will come up. Bevell played quarterback for Alvarez and led Wisconsin to a Rose Bowl championship after the 1993 season. Although he started his career in the college ranks, he has been in the NFL since 2000 and serves as the Seattle Seahawks' offensive coordinator. Like Chryst, he has Wisconsin roots and would make a lot of sense.

Also, this is my pure speculation, but with the Browns' coaching staff possibly tenuous at best, is it possible that Chilly ends up back with his buddy Barry Alvarez?

As a Gopher fan, I would support this move. Very Happy

Honestly though, he is a character and would fit in with the young guys at the college level. He has actually implemented the spread offense well in Seattle. Would help him in the college ranks.
