I heard about that yesterday. I certainly never cared for Tice's coaching ability, but the way he was treated by Red was disrespectful. And this only makes it sound worse and worse (at least to me).

He's got to be the best car salesman ever though, because he truly lives the stereotype.

Mick Tingelhoff’s wait for the Pro Football Hall of Fame was extended by yet another year Wednesday when the Hall of Fame selection committee’s nine-member seniors committee bypassed the former Vikings center and other candidates while choosing former Raiders punter Ray Guy and former Falcons and Eagles defensive end Claude Humphrey as the two senior nominees for 2014.

I was telling someone yesterday that I have no idea why this panel put Humphrey up again. If he missed after 15 years and then missed again when he was nominated by the Senior Committee (2009), why put him up again? He's clearly not worthy enough, so move onto someone else.

Humphrey seemed to be a pretty good player, but HOFer, I think it's borderline at best. So, in the end, he had his shot, move on.

But, it was nice to see Ray Guy get the nod.

For the second straight year, Vikings Vice President of Legal Affairs and Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Warren and his wife Greta have donated 700 backpacks filled with school supplies to the Lucy Craft Laney Community School in Minneapolis.

Warren has adopted the school to provide the year-long school supplies for those students. In addition to the distributed backpacks for primary, elementary and junior high students, the Warrens have donated school supplies to meet the demand of the entire school for the 2013-14 academic year. Lucy Laney is one of the most impoverished schools in the state, with 98 percent of the student population coming from underserved and impoverished communities.

In two years of association with the school, the Warrens have donated 1,400 backpacks of school supplies, basketball uniforms for the boys and girls teams and school uniforms. The school is going to announce that the Warrens will contribute an on-site computer lab that will be dedicated in early 2014.

Always the chance Seattle could deal Winfield first - WSH and MIN had legit interest this offseason - but can be difficult this time of year

As long as Winfield shows an interest in returning to MN, I think MN would defeinitely pursue it. We simply dont know if Robinson is ready to step in at nickel CB.

I think it would be ideal for the Vikings to bring back Winfield for the nickel and slot position, only coming on the field in three CB sets. Robinson can be the top backup at both outside CB spots and be the dime CB.

Its really an ideal situation for the Vikings to bring back Winfield. The Vikings could probably let AJ Jefferson go and let Bobby Felder and Marcus Sherels fill out the final two spots.

I agree with all of this, it would be great to have Winfield back.
