| I'd take Jackson back if he wanted to return. Jackson and Ponder really arent that far apart in there development and Jackson would clearly be a better backup option than Webb. |

Absolutely not. You're talking about a guy that lost out to Russell Wilson, Matt Flynn, Ryan Fitzpatrick, and Vince Young. If he can't pass any of those guys, as bad as Joe Webb looked, I wouldn't count on Tarvaris passing him either. _________________

Michael Jackson went from such a wholesome middle America kind of image to his bizarre, hideous life and early death. _________________

Tarvaris Jackson is like a lateral move from Mark Sanchez.
The Jets should not pursue him.
I kind of wouldn't be surprised if he came back to Minnesota as the primary backup. I don't know how I feel about that anymore. :/ _________________

Fitzpatrick and Wilson arent terrible QBs.
Fitzpatrick, Flynn and Jackson would all be significant upgrades over Jackson. I think the Vikes would be foolish to even consider bringing back Webb as the #2. Looking at Jackson's two years in Minnesota as the starter and his one year in Seattle as the starter, what separates him from Christian Ponder? There isnt much honestly, but I do know there is a significant gap between Webb vs Ponder/Jackson. |

oh my goodness, a competition between Sanchez and Tarvaris?
those poor Jets fans, if that's the best they have to look forward to... |
They would just be competing for who can best keep the seat warm for the QB that we draft. _________________

Fitzpatrick's numbers aren't all that dissimilar from Ponder
Fitzpatrick - 306-505, 3400 yds, 24 TDs, 16 INTs, 83.3
Ponder - 300-483, 2935 yds, 18 TDs, 12 INTs, 81.2
To suggest that Tarvaris and Ponder are anything alike is a preposterous statement. Tarvaris and Joe Webb are closer than Tarvaris and Ponder. _________________

Jackson's season in 2011 as a starter in Seattle was actually slightly better than Ponder's last year. More yards, much better yds/att, and he still managed to throw for 60%.
Granted Jackson is a bit older, I dont think going from Ponder to Jackson will be nearly as disasterous as going from Ponder to Webb. Jackson is a clear upgrade over Webb, but I would put Jackson closer to Ponder than I would Webb. Webb is atrocious. Jackson was serviceable in 2011 just like Ponder was this year. |

| Quote: | One of the biggest challenges for a rookie head coach is building a solid coaching staff, but Browns coach Rob Chudzinski continues to acccumulate good help.
According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Browns have hired former Cowboys defensive line coach Brian Baker to coach outside linebackers. |

In case people don't remember, Baker was a DL and LB coach for the Vikings under Tice. _________________

| Quote: | Smoot told the Capitol Police officer that he’d had one drink, according to the affidavit, and agreed to a field sobriety test. During a series of tests, Smoot demonstrated “many clues of impairment,” including swaying noticeably, Carll said in the affidavit.
“During processing, in the service area, while handcuffed, the [defendant] peed his pants creating a puddle on the floor,” Carll said in the affidavit. “[A police officer] witnessed the urine running down his pant leg and onto the floor. [Smoot] did not express that he had to use the restroom.” |

SMOOOOTTTT!
What a sorry excuse of a CB he was for the Vikings. And one of the primary Love Boat idiots. It shouldn't come as a surprise that he'd do something ridiculous like this. _________________
