I know its waaayyyy to early to make any real predictions on the draft next year, but who are some of your favorite college players you think would fit well with the Texans?
Personally, I'd like to see us pick up Jaxson Appel (S, Texas A&M), who plays with a lot of heart and intensity, though he seems to be below the radar as far as national recognition goes. He's VERY well known at A&M though.
Does anyone have a favorite WR or OT they'd like to see the Texans get? Or any other position for that matter? I enjoyed watching Lance Legett (Miami FL) and Ted Ginn (Ohio State) play last year at WR, but I believe both are too young to come out next year. |

| Bah, that's no fun. Bring some specific players up you find interesting! Any linemen that come to mind? I know they aren't usually the most exciting players to follow, but that doesn't seem to stop people from forming strong opinions on them. |

If D'Brickshaw Ferguson was a Texan I'm pretty sure David Carr would kiss Dom Capers! _________________

| It's true. The one nice thing about us not grabbing Barron in the first round this year is that next year is loaded with O-line talent. I would love to see them grab D'Brickshaw, but there is also Eric Winston, Winston Justice, Jonathan Scott and Marcus Mcneill in next years draft. Any one of those guys would be great... unless our O-line surprises everyone this year by actually blocking someone... lol. |

That would be SHOCKING!! I see us picking up a tackle next year early in the tackle-laden draft. |

Well unless you have a top 3 pick next year, your gonna have to trade up for Ferguson. _________________

No problem.
I guy that could come cheap and is very, very good is Jonathan Scott of Oklahoma. He'll go in the mid to last 1st.
Adrian Peterson didn't run for all those yards with no help! _________________

| Johnathon Scott is actually from U of Texas. I think Davin Joseph is the OT from Oklahoma (not 100% on that). |

I knew he was from Texas!!!
Buddy of mine had me convinced he was from OU but I just knew he was from Texas.
Thanks for proving me right!!! _________________

I agree. I see next year's draft as the one that really puts the texans into playoff consideration. We have another 4 picks in the first 3 rounds and should be able to get some O-line help as well as plug some holes in our depth chart.
We might not be able to takeoff this year, but next year... watch out.
But I sure hope we do well this year. |

I wouldn't worry about trading up in a draft where this many tackles are available. Justice and Winston have as much upside as Ferguson does, and Scott, McNeil, Joseph, and Alex Whitworth from LSU will all be around mid to late first round. If Justin Blalock of Texas comes out he would be first round as well. This is the year to have multiple first round picks if you have O line trouble. _________________
