Not the top 5 pick season some were predicting (myself included) but Clady will be the 2nd or 3rd tackle taken, likely still in the top 15, top 20. He's quick, strong, the works for a prototypical OT and one of my favorite prospects in the draft.

I expected this.

hell be a first round. hes not a physically dominating lineman but hes done a lot of pass blocking and has a protoype frame. other than that he didnt excite me in his games.

smart move financially in that he'll be a first round pick but i'm not a huge fan. he is good in pass pro with good mobility for a big man but in the 5 or 6 times i've watched him over the past 2 years, he's always looked very soft in the running game and shows little-to-no mean streak. but the upside is there

2nd best LT in this draft after Oher (if he comes out)

1st rounder for sure unless he tests horribly at the combine.

Top 4 OT(along with Oher, Long and Otah).

Should be intersting to see how they go off the board come april.

With the fifth pick in the 2008 NFL Draft the Kansas City Chiefs select Ryan Clady Offensive Tackle Boise State.
Mark it down.

I think he is a top 10 selection. I envision Clady being selected by the Chiefs.

Good move by Ryan to take the guaranteed money. He might just be the only Bronco taken in the Draft. Sad

Ryans, Good very good. But after watching everyone of his games he had a off year this year so don't be surprised if he's not taken until the end of the 2nd round. The guy has the talent, size and speed but may not have the mental makeup it takes to be a starting OT,OG in this league.

With that said I don't want him on any other team then my own.
Go Ryan!

I think it partially depends on what Oher does. If he declares, maybe, but OT's are usually at a premium. So I still think he goes 1st round.

If Oher doesnt declare, Clady could go pretty high in the 1st depending on the combine.

Let me clarify,I expect him to go in the first but I would not be surprised at all if he fell until the end of the 2nd round. He was very inconsistent vs Washington and Hawaii as well as others. IMO

Oh ok, good point.

Time will tell to see what happens.
