For the upcoming 05-06 season we have some very promising prospects at WR. However only one person has a locked spot, and of course thats the Great Jimmy at number one. From there, it could go anywhere. What do you see as our WR depth chart next year. Here's mine.

1. Jimmy Smith
2. Reggie Williams
3. Matt Jones
4. Troy Edwards
5. Ernest Wilford
6. Cortez Hankton (if hes even needed Sad )

Its hard to see Wilford and Edwards at 4 and 5 considering the way theyve been playing this offseason. Its tough.. your thoughts?

Eh, I dunno, I like Matt Jones, and I think he will go far in this league, it's just that, I really feel his first season might be very slow and people will be throwing the bust label at him just like they did at Reggie Williams last year, however, I also think that Matt Jones will be proving them wrong in later seasons, just like I think Reggie will prove them wrong this year. That said I wouldn't be surprised if Wilford (VaTech heck yeah) and Edwards maybe get a few more plays than Jones, but in a few years, Jones and Williams are going to be nastiness together.

Yeah, thats what I am thinking. I'm looking for Williams to have a good year, and it might or might not take Matt a while to adjust, that remains to be seen. Troy Edwards has been playing great so far this offseason in camp, and of course Wilford is Wilford Very Happy

Yeah, I agree, and its going to be tough to cut one or even have one at the 5th reciever spot, because our 5th reciever could be like a 2nd or 3rd on a lot of teams.

This obviously depends on Matt Jones as well... we have yet to see him in a game, so I don't know about him yet.

Great, we need you around here.

If Cortez is sixth, you think he'll get cut?

Matt Jones?... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

At least not now. He is definately a WR right now, maybe in the future when he is adjusted at WR, he might make the change.

Right now he is a wide out, and actually we have some good competition going on at TE, so hes not a TE.

That's what I thought, but John Clayton said he would be a better option at TE.

The Jags have a wealth of depth at WR. Maybe a 3 WR set, starting Smith, Williams and Jones or Edwards?

Yeah, our new passing attack under Carl Smith will include a lot of 4-5 WR sets, and a lot of deep balls for Jimmy, Matt, and Reggie to go get Very Happy
