Just heard on ESPN radio, what do you guys think and what round do you think he will project?

EDIT - here's a link http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft08/news/story?id=3154954

Doubt he's the last from Louisville to do so. Isn't Douglas a junior too?

Douglas is a senior actually. It should be interesting how they fare next year with those 2 gone.

With the injuries and the lack of speed(I've heard 4.55ish, if he runs faster that obviously changes things) I'd say 3rd-4th round range. But what do I know.

He would have been better off staying another year. Then again, I'm not sure about the QB situation there next year. Maybe it's not so good, I don't know. Maybe that played into his decision.

They actually have a great QB named Hunter Caldwell

Ehh, I don't know if this is a wise decision. I could easily see him slipping into the mid-late 2nd day...he doesn't look that fast.

Why is he a great quarterback? Is it because people see him going first overall in 2009 mock drafts? Or is it because people have actually seen him play?

I don't see anything special in Hunter Cantwell, not Caldwell. He has good size and a great arm, but he won't be proven enough to be a top ten pick.

I'd like to see him on the Browns. Wink

He could provide a great 3rd option behind Braylon and K2.

i dont see him off the board until late 3rd-4th, i think he can be a weapon in the red zone with his height but with his lack of speed & quickness, i dont see him as a regular contributor. IMO really should have come back after a down junior year where i didnt appear as fast as in previous years and showed very inconsistant hands

I think he shoulda stayed, his stock has went down for the msot part, IMO, and he looks like a 5th round pick right now, IMO. If he stayed and played good next year, he would've been at least a 2nd round pick. I wonder how Hunter Cantwell will do in his first year, with the 2 big targets leaving.

Watch the kid play, even you wont be able to deny he is a good QB.

What does his projected draft position have anything to do with him being a good QB?
