how about this trade...49ers trade 1st pick and a 4th round pick to san diego for san diego 1st pick in round 1 which is a top 10 pick...and phillip rivers...then use that pick to draft m.williams or b.edwards..or take a defensive player like a.rolle

the only way we need to trade our 1st pick is if we get both of dallas's 1 round picks or trade a team that wont be very good nxt yr for there 1 round pick for nxt yr... so we could pick up lienart or reggie mcniel

i think they should trade the first for a later first round and a 3rd rounder pick up one of the quarterbacks, then Arrington or Barber III in the 3rd round.

The only team's I see willing to trade up are Cleveland and Arizona both of which need a QB but I dont see either one of them doing it because it would involve a #1 next year and both teams will have top 10 picks next year and Cleveland would have a shot at 1 of the 2 QB's anyway or Derrick Johnson who I think they will take. Arizona may possibly trade up because they badly need a QB but I heard Green wants Gus Frerotte.

I think there are a couple of other teams that might trade up. I think Oakland, Kansas City and New Orleans all might trade into the #1 slot to get DJ. It's pretty well known that Saban is taking a hard look at him, and if Miami gets a RB in FA I would assume he would draft DJ at #2. I would take a trade with any of these teams for their 1st rounder this year, and next year as well as a 3rd or 4th rounder(Hopefully the Raiders, they will be terrible next year).

Arrington was selected #2, and I haven't heard any complaints out of the Redskins.
