This is based on my opinion of how the rankings should look. im probably going to list only the starters.
QB - Jake Plumber - 85
RB - Tatum Bell - 86
FB - Kyle Anderson - 79
WR - Rod Smith - 88
WR - Ashley Lelie - 85
TE - Jeb Putzier - 81
LT - Matt Lepsis - 87
LG - Ben Hamilton - 88
C - Tom Nalen - 94
RG - Cooper Carlisie - 80
RT - George Foster - 78
DE - Trevor Pryce - 88
DT - Gerrad Warren - 80
DT - Mike Myers - 79
DE - Courtney Brown - 84
OLB - Ian Gold - 91
MLB - Al Wilson - 97
OLB - D.J. Williams - 88
FS - John Lynch - 87
SS - Nick Ferguson - 80
CB - Champ Bailey 99
CB - Lenny Walls - 81
Trevor Pryce went down from last years madden rating because of his serious back injury, and you don't know how effective he will be this year.
Jake Plumber is not that good of a quarterback in my opinion. But he is the only one on our roster that can actually play that position at a high level, but i didn't rank him that high.
I think others are pretty decent. Champ Bailey is arguebly the best player in Madden in rating points. And Al Wilson should be near 98-99 in madden as well, but i put him on 97. _________________

My opinions:
Wasn't Lelie 85 on this year? He didn't improve?
Lepsis is better than that. Hamilton is too.
George Foster had a great year. He's atleast in the 80's.
Trevor Pryce doesn't go down 8 points overall.
Gerrard Warren isn't that low.
Mike Myers isn't that low.
I think Lenny is a little higher. _________________

i can understand your opinions, but the only one i don't agree with is Trevor Pryce. He missed 15 games i think, with a serious Back injury. i just can't see the madden people putting trevor back up in the 95+ area. I mean 88 is a decent madden rating for someone coming back from a serious back injury. _________________

On the tenative Madden rankings, he was still in the 90's. No way does he drop that far. The people at EA Sports are morons anyways. _________________

great list. the only problems i have is foster should be in the 82-84 range and DJ should probably be ahead of gold (or at least the same). _________________

this alll sounds great but i heard that the broncos will be high 70s low 80s overall in the game(i think they should be at least 10 points higher) but it just doesn't translate _________________ When you base your opinions off of facts instead of searching for facts that support your opinions you will find yourself often the contrarian but rarely the fool. |

yeah i should have put foster higher than 79, but IMHO i don't really think hes good, hes young and has potential, but i think Clement will take overs sometime during the season at RT.
I love DJ. i mean this kid is my new favorite player and hes going to be for a long time. If i was a maker i would put DJ up as high as 98, but to be realistic, he has unlimited potential to be one of the top5 linebackers in like 2-3 years, but right now he is only in his 2nd season, so i thought about how the madden creators would rank him, and Ian was higher just because of the experience factor and the pro-bowl year he had with denver 3 seasons ago with like 146 tackles roaming at weakside. But as of D.J. he is not good as Ian right now, but he will be better than him as the season progesses. just my 2 cents. _________________

How is Foster not good? Did you watch him play last year? _________________

I'll second that. I don't know anything about video games, but I saw Foster get beat a few times. If he doesn't get his hands on guys solidly right away, he's in a bit of trouble. Don't get me wrong; I think he'll be very good in a couple of years. He did really well for a first year starter. He's smart, his footwork is really good, and he run-blocks well. But he really isn't anything more than average. Yet. He could probably play left tackle in a couple of years. |

yeah he should be if shanahan doesn't cut him (which isn't likely). Jerry will probably be the 4th reciever if he still has some gas left in the tank. _________________
