| Quote: | | How enamored are the St. Louis Rams of veteran linebacker Dexter Coakley, signed as a free agent only a day after his release by the Dallas Cowboys? Coach Mike Martz has already named Coakley a team captain. Coakley, by the way, will play the strong side spot in 2005 after eight seasons of mostly lining up at weak-side linebacker. |

Yea, I had no idea that a player that just comes to the team can become the leader that quick. _________________ Al Davis. Trolling Raiders fans since 1963. |

When Arch is healthy he is one of the best, if not the best, run-stuffing SS in the league, and supposedly his rehab is ahead of schedule. Leonard Little can still be an elite pass-rusher if he can get some help on the inside by Kennedy and Pickett. Other than that, we're kind of lacking all over. _________________ My teams:

Take it from a Cowboy Die Hard, St Louis and thier fans are going to LOVE Coakley. He was a fan favorite in Texas Stadium for years. He is one of the fastest LB's I have ever seen with a nose for the ball. Was sad to see him released.
I wish him nothing but continued success and hope to see him return to the Pro-Bowl again, no matter what uniform he wears. He will be an immediate IMPACT contributor on your defense.
The Dallas organization still holds him in high regard. This is exemplified in when they released him. He was not released in June, but much earlier, which allows him to succeed by signing early with the RAMS and participating in all the off-season activities. The Cowboys knew this and wanted to program him for continued professional success. Enjoy, he is FUN to watch! |
