You can't expect rookies drafted in the late second round and later to come in and be superstars. Guys like Kearse come around every 25 years or so. We'll give them another year or two to develope and if they don't then we may address the position.
I'm not saying Rolle will play S in the NFL, but if he's drafted by us we'd put him there. |

Forget about the rolle thing. We need a everydown DE thats good.
I think Shobel will be the best DE that we drafted last but i want Antwan Odom to be good. Hes a good bullrusher, but they usually dont get too many sacks. |

| I think Schobel has the best combination of size and speed, and if he's anything like his cousing we got a steal. Laboy will get a lot of sacks, but won't be an everydown guy. Odom could be great he need to get stronger. He also has no endurance. |

| Odom needs a real good training camp. Hes strong, but lacks endurance. Schobel is a beast, he benches over 500 pounds. |

First of all, Kearse coming around every 25 years? Thats ridiculous. What about Julius Peppers, Dwight Freeney, Charles Grant, John Abraham, KGB. All these guys were picked right around where Kearse was and they all had better years than Kearse did. And 2 of them had impact rookie years comparable to Kearse's. Peppers would have the rookie record if he worn't suspended. Second of all, why would we bring in Rolle to play safety? He's the best CORNERBACK in college football. And which safety would he take over for, Williams or Thompson? Neither thats who. If we draft Rolle it's to replace Dyson and thats it. I mean how much of an improvement could a rookie who has never played safety be over Tank or Lamont? |

probably a little. It doesn't even matter because we won't draft him. I guarantee other team will think about him as a safety though. What I meant about the Kearse statement is that very few rookies have the impact Kearse had. His rookie season was his best season yet 15 sacks several forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. KGB, Grant, Freeney, etc. had great impacts but nohting like Kearse had.
Also Williams and Thompson are good, but they're overrated IMO. We could upgrade at the safety position. |

Tank Williams is really overrated. I just like his name. Tank is horrible in coverage and has had 2 ACL tears. We should release him, only if we got somebody to replace him.
Kearse had the fastest 20 yard dash in NFL history, tying deion sanders. |

| Is that right? What about the 40 yard dash is that still Darrell Green? |

| Williams isn't a cover safety, thats what schulters (sp?) is for. |

| I never thought Schulters was that good in coverage except that first year he was here. I realize tank is almost like an extra linebacker, but he still isn't great in coverage. Thompson seemed to do good sometimes and then screw up the next. |

| We just need a saftey. None of our safties can cover. Name one. Shulters was good but hes slow as chistmas. Tank tore 2 knees, so hes not goin to be able to move. Lamont Thompson is inconsistent but at least he gets interceptions but he did tear his knee too. If it was up to me i would cut Williams just because he tore 2 knees. Thats harsh but this is a multi million dollar business. |
